All of my friends seem to find a person that they like and find attractive everywhere they go, and somehow managed to get a boyfriend or a girlfriend. Though, I do see guys that are somewhat attractive, or just not what I'm looking for, but I also think that I'm being overly picky. But at the same time, I just don't think that there's anyone actually out there for me.
I sometimes just don't see myself being able to function in a relationship without me being independent. I do have depression, and I'm trying to deal with it, but I'm making slow progress. So, I guess, how long does it take to find someone that you think you will be able to get along with, because I'm also in college, and it just seems that all the guys I know are just really stupid and really immature. Oh, and can guys sense depression, like in the way you talk or stand or whatever?
Well it seems like you have higher standards than all your friends. Which is good. Well if you feel you deserve better than you do. Or is it the fear you might get hurt or rejected that keeps you mind closed off. Here is the rule of life, the key to insanity is doing the same thing over and over but expecting different results. So if you want something new you gotta do something new. Well depression is more of a habit not a mental dysfunction, dr found it so they can sell drugs to you. I mean I used to be diagnosed with manic bi polar, and I make more money then most people I know. I'm smarter and more emotional stable. I would get this tape or book. L its called reinventing your self by stephen chandler. Tis awesome I know you'll love it. Let me knowhow you like it. When ever I feel depressed or something dramatic in my life happens I listen to it and my life takes new direction. Well you seem like a good girl and never drop your standards, just maybe you don't have the right tactics and stuff to get the man you want. You will find him someday. Oh and that stuff is under self help in book stores. My fav section. Good luck have fun. Good?
Some of us can sense depression, others just think there is something wrong with you but they don't draw to the conclusion of depression. I've noticed that people that are under the age of 25 are still in college and are studying so much that they don't have time to start a relationship. I'm 26 and I just finished college a month ago. Starting a relationship is on mind but looking for the job that will start my career and starting my Master's degree is also on my mind. Honestly, I don't think that people are ready for a serious committed relationship until after they turn 30.
