So here's the story: This girl was a friend of mine in high school we weren't in same class and we weren't very close. After I get into college I had a relationship with a girl from another college for one year and didn't see my best friends from high school so frequently. (we're going to same college. ) So after the breakup I reunited with my old friends again only to see that this girl from high school is now also in the gang and going out with a guy from another city. After a while I realized that I had some feelings for her but his boyfriend from the other city was always hanging out with us too so he too become a close friend to us. Now they're broken up but he's still hanging out with us and funny thing I think he's pretty cool. But I have these strong feelings for her also. He also loves her still. What should I do? Tell her? Tell him, then her?
I think is too soon to tell this girl that you have feelings for her, she just ended a relationship and I don't think she wants to rush in to another. But I know that when you have feelings for someone you just want to tell, so you should better talk first with her ex and then with her. Just be patience, don't rush.
Ask one of your close friends that hung out with this guy more than you how he would feel about it. You need to poke and prod your way through as much as you can because feeling are something not to be taken lightly.

What pickup lines do you use to start a conversation with someone you are attracted to?
I usually try to use humor to break the ice (no not stupid jokes or creepy sexual innuendos) I'll usually ask her a question about a class (if she is in one of my classes) or about something else. I might also comment on her clothing or smile, or something.
Once after that I'll tell her my name, and get a conversation, I'll usually tease her a little to ease any tension
How do they typically respond?
Well, it's worked 2 times and I've used it 2 times.. so 100% so far!
In one case there was girl in my class and she worked at the bookstore. I asked her if she liked the class and she said she didn't know. So I teased her about not knowing her own opinion, (nothing mean, just light humor) after that we got talking and I ended up getting her number.
