Sounds like he's rather indecisive and confused. If I were you I would cut the sex until he's sure of what he wants so he makes his choice for the right reasons for both of you. I have known men that simply continue dating someone just so that they can still get laid when they want to. If he's so quick and easy to give up on your future together it really calls into question how much he cares. It should never be that easy to call it quits.
