Why do you want to go out with him? To have sex and romance? You're too young to be thinking of that. And obviously your friend would be furious if you do that.

It sounds pretty selfish to me that your friend would deny you love just because she wants the same thing. If she's already with him, or has started to put moves on him, then give her a shot because she's crazy for him. But, if she fails there is no reason you should too.

U should talk to her about it and see if she is ok with it. She may not like that you asked but at least your not doing it behind her back. your letting her know like a true friend would.

If this friend is a close friend, don't even think about it. Chances are, your friendship will outlast the relationship, so if you were to break up with this guy, you would have no boyfriend and no friend. Eventually, she will move on from him, and that's when you can get the okay to date him. Maybe you could fix her up with some other guy so she's not so crazy about the one in your class? Sneaky, but you would get what you want, AND keep your friend. :)

I'm in this situation as well! I'd never go out with this guy though (even though he's the NICEST, HOTTEST, FUNNIEST guy in my life). My friend is unstable and often she'd tried running away and even attempting suicide because of him. He simply doesn't like her.

He's one of my best friends! I love having him in my life and I can live with just friendship; hell, he probably doesn't fancy me anyway! =]

Well I have been in your situation before. Ask the guy if he is interested in you or your friend. If he says you ask your friend for the chance to date him. If she wants him all to herself or if it's always been about her. Go for it, your friend is just a brat.
