I met a guy a couple of months after me and my fiance broke up. unfortunately, I'm still dealing with trust issues, and things like that and I explained to him and he said he understood. I guess things weren't going as smoothly as he had planned and we came to the conclusion that instead of pursuing a relationship we would be friends. However; we had already had sex and he kinda hinted saying that it's ok to continue the "friends with benefits" relationsip. If I do it, am I askin for trouble?

Yeah, I agree with Ruby. Think of it this way - if you're having sex with him, you're not his friend. Friends do not have sex. If you are having sex with him, he is not your friend - he's your sex partner. If he's your friend, it means that he does things your other friends do with you, which I'm sure is not sex. Guys don't have sex with their friends either, so he is trying to pull the wool over your eyes to make it sound like he is being a friend to you just so the "benefits" will continue. Coming from a guy's point of view, it sounds as though he just enjoyed having sex with you and wants it to continue. Also, I would say that if he is only wanting your body at this time, he is not being a very good "friend," because he is messing with your mind, which is not something a true friend would do. If he is a true friend, he will prove it by being there for you - not using you to satisfy his sexual needs. It sounds as though you really need a true friend right now - not someone who will just use you. I hope you find a true friend somewhere who can be there for you!

Friends with benefits is always asking for trouble. You wouldn't have sex with your best girlfriend would you? I have found that if you treat your guy friends the same as you treat your girl friends, you have far less heartbreak and issues. You're giving your body to him and it seems as if he may be using you for sex. I don't know though. You are the only one who can truly make the call.
