What does it mean when men say you are to good for me?

It means he has been cheating on you and the guilt is tearing his heart out of his chest!

It means the same thing when a woman says it.

You can respect him for the fact that he is letting you go. He is confused so he may not be able to put the words together correctly. And because he is confused he is in a defensive mode.

Thats my take on it.

I've been told this a few times before and it was usually part of a break up and I took it about as well as most people take its not you its me! It could mean many things. In my case the guy was a cheater and a liar who was unable to commit. IT could mean that, it could mean he's just insecure? No way to tell for sure just based on this info.

He thinks that he is not worth what you give to him and how you treat him. It is a compliment.

It means that he thinks you are beautiful and out of his league. Take it as a compliment.
