I'm in a relationship with this guy and have been together for about 2 1/2 yrs. He lives 4000 miles away so we don't get to see each other that often. We talk everyday and one day he tells me about this girl who is constantly just throwing herself at him whenever she is around him. Part of me is mad or angry at him because he doesn't do anything about it. He moves or shifts away from her but not literally being mean. I know for a fact that he doesn't like her or have any interest in her but I think it's the fact that she's throwing herself all over him and he's not pushing her away.

It bothers me, I admit, and I even told him that. I told him not to be so nice to her. Because he's not doing anything to her to let her know not to act that way towards him, it's making her think that he might be interested. She knows he has a girlfriend but I don't know why she's still like that. Of course I'm not there to see it or do anything about it and he's just letting her be that way around him. I just don't know how to react. I'll ask him about her, I always do, and he tells me the same thing.

It's always nice to know that you are wanted, but I think when another person's advances affects the other relationship partner then it has gone too far.

Talk to your boyfriend and let him know how much it really upsets you, and tell him what you want him to do. Be straight forward here, don't just give hints and hope that he will do what you are thinking.

If, after you have told him how this makes you feel, and that you want it to stop, he still does nothing, then I would seriously consider how much more of your emotions that you should invest into someone that obviously doesn't care about yours.

I completely understand!! My now-husband and I did the long distance thing for a LONG time! My only advice to you is this: If you trust him, trust him. If not: this long distance thing isn't gonna work, especially if you have to do it for a long time. If you have ANY reason to doubt his fidelity at this point, it's pretty much a deal breaker in this situation. I will say this: if he was doing something with this girl, it's pretty unlikely that he would tell you about her at all since he is so far away. The key in this situation is making sure he knows without a doubt that this makes you extremely uncomfortable and he NEEDS to do something about it because he's hurting you by not doing anything. If he still refuses 'cause this girl makes him feel like a stud: I think you know the next step. This is just my opinion and I hope it helps!! Good luck!
