My Best friend guy friend - we have been intimately involved for 2 years. A few weeks ago we were chatting over IM and he had mentioned that he was messing around on Craigslist. So I said to him OK so I waited about 2 weeks and posted a personals ad on the site. And NO it was nothing perverted just saying that I was seeking an Italian man between the ages of 32-40 yrs of age. So I left the post on there for a day or two and then finally I checked my email and he had answered MY post... Weird huh it turned out that we were looking for the same things. So I didn't answer it.

But I texted him and told I'm that he answered my ad. I thought that it was going to be the end of our friendship. But it turned out that he really wasn't mad we talked it out. He apologized and I don't know why and he said that he just goes on the site to mess around. But then he calls me a player! But I see it if I was a so called player I wouldn't have told the truth! Am I right? I love him and have strong feelings for him. So what do you think about this? Please give me your advice?

After knowing him for two years, you should just go ahead and ask him if he wants to test the dating waters with you. Just make sure if he agrees, that he knows he can't use the craigslist while you are both dating.

If he is just out for hookups, I'd have to agree that you should let him stay in the friend zone and work your feelings for him down to a friend level again. Then find someone else who can care about you.

If he is willing to go on Craigs list then he is not worth your time. You should tell him that you love him and that he has a week to make up his mind. You should not have to wait for him to see what you really are.
