I have high marks in school, and I work extremely hard. In class whenever I turn in my work everyone groans and says, "Sam did it again!!!" (I always do three times what the teacher required) On my tests I get A's and am sad at an A-. The point of this is do guys think this is a turnoff? I never ever flaunt my grades, but I work hard to earn them and am not going to stop if everyone is mad at me for being an overachiever. I tutor a lot of boys, and they always call me a genius, this is flattering and all, but I wonder if that's all anyone will ever see me as. The smart girl. =[ Do guys like super smart girls, or do they annoy them?

I'll tell you what. If I had a choice, I would pick the smart intellectual girl rather than the pretty girl. Why? because a girl endowed with smarts could keep me busy all day long talking about politics, wars, gas and cigarette prices and legalizing marijuana and getting the drinking age lowered. I would probably have so much fun with a smart girl. I was with this total dumbass girl for 5 years and I really regret it because after the initial sparks blew out, there was nothing to talk about because all she wanted to do was go out and stare at boys.

I'm not saying that's a bad thing, but too much of anything is never good. a lot of those girls and boys are jealous because they can't get the answers and be so good at what you are doing. just turn your cheek and smile inside.

There's no need to worry about that at all. Like sexwiseman noted, college is down the road. Past that is your career. Even if you don't find a guy in high school, there is no need to worry. At each of the upcoming stages, your chances improve. And guess what? The smart girl is more attractive to the smart guy. And the smart guy is likely to be better educated, have a better career, be more cultured, and be a better catch than the average Joe. It is possibly a turn-off to some guys, but any attribute is going to be a turn-off to some portion. No such thing as too smart.

sexwiseman Great point....the smarter you are, the better chances of finding an educated guy that will appreciate your intelligence, and will lead you to have a better emotional and financial life. - 8 months ago

Of course there are guys that like super smart girls. In our senior class, we used to drool over this girl who went on to become the valedictorian of our class. Of course, not all the guys drooled over her, but she had her faithful followers. 'Smartness' is not the only factor that is singled out when liking a girl. There was also a very smart girl that used to be a backstabbing b!tch, and well, she was cute, but she wasn't well liked, mainly because of her personality. Anyway, don't worry much about what others think because high school is not the end of the world, and life only gets better after high school, specially if you're college bound.

How does getting good grades and studying super hard make you smart? You're not necessarily intelligent, I guess you just have some psychological problems. Low self-esteem perhaps?

If any guy is turned off by your intellect, then he is insecure about his own abilities. So he's not worth the trouble anyways.

Does it ever annoy you that you're single?
random-ren asked 11 days ago

Yes, most of the time! I really wish I had a boyfriend/girlfriend!

A little, because I feel left out.

Not really...

Nope! I have too much fun being single!

What's there to be annoyed about?

Describe your ideal first date; Where do you go? What do you wear? How does the date end?
Go out to get something to eat, somewhere not to loud, but not to boring, so I can actually get to know the person through conversation, get to know : their interests, hobbies, intentions, what do they look for in a girl. then maybe after, when its getting later, walk through the park, or swing on swings at the park or something. & talk about anything .and id wear, nice jeans, shirt, and shoes

Afterwards..what will your date know about you?
My date will know, that I'm smart, and that I'm hilarious. He will know I'm the same same as some other girls, and I won't do anything to impress him and that I like to smile(: & be myself completely, he will know my hobbies, what I like in a guy, and interests, etc.

Would you date me?
