Ohhhk. I have no clue what to do. a few months ago my bf, DJ (of a little over a year.) broke up with me. After a few weeks we got back together. Well here's the problem... during that time I started talking to this really cute guy (Joe). The thing is I can't stop talking to him! He is so funny! We talk for hours every night. & I know it's not right but I can't help it, he likes me a lot and I'm beginning to fall for him. and yea this is causing me to lose interest in my boyfriend. Now all I think about is Joe when I should be thinking about DJ.

Should I forget about Joe, & stop talking to him. or end it with DJ?

I know either choice I make is going to hurt the other one's feelings but I can't keep doing what I am now. It's just not right. Please help

And by the way DJ has been a real jerk in the past. He puts a lot of things before me like drinking and parties. He also gets really mad if I don't feel like doing any physical things. But just the fact that we've been together for so long and have created so many unforgettable memories... makes me want to hold on. blahhh :[[

Update: Thanks everyone :D

I broke up with DJ and I'm happy.    10 months ago

Definitely keep seeing Joe, and dump your old boyfriend DJ. It doesn't sound like he treated you very nice, and always took you for granted, anyway. You are with a guy now who makes you happy, and that's what it's all about. Don't worry about DJ's feelings, he'll get over it. You can't live your life for someone else. Go forward with Joe, and don't look back. You will always have the memories of your good times with DJ, and make new ones with Joe that you will probably cherish even more.

Sounds like an easy decision - go with the new guy. In fact, I don't even see how your actions are bad at all. Someone treated you poorly and you found someone better. That's good and healthy. Go with it and leave DJ behind.

As far as DJ's feelings, well the Golden Rule is to treat others as you want to be treated. Sounds like he's earned the pain.

Honey you just answered your own question. You are leaning more towards Joe. That's a wonderful pick. He seems like a really sweet guy. I'm sure he will put you above parties and drinking.

It sounds like you have a lot of fun talking and being around Joe and that's very important.

Dump that dumb ass and go for Joe :)

Girl you are young enjoy yourself. If DJ was a jerk then he still is, keep your options open and be around someone that will make you happy. It's hard but memories are just that ....memories.
DJ doesn't sound like he is putting your feelings first sounds like his social life is more important at this time....So do what's best for you if DJ gets hurt then maybe he will grow up.

Go with the new guy. It seems like you are stuck in a dead end relationship with the old guy. You will probably have many unforgettable memories with the new guy. You should never be with someone who pressures you or who gets upset with you for not wanting to do anything physically with them. You will always have memories with people you are involved in a relationship with, but just because you have been with someone for a long time is not a good reason to stay with them if the relationship has run its course which it sounds like it has.
