My best guy friend and I met at summer camp two years ago. We hit it off and have been good friends since. We used to call each other on a weekly basis then we got busy, and didn't talk on the phone for almost 7 months, we did e.mail and text still. While I was away for the summer he called me and left me a wonderful message saying he missed me and was sorry he never called during the last 7 months.
Once we finally talked it was like no time had passed; our conversation lasted about an hour and a half with him talking for the most part about what was going on in his life. He also mentioned, yet again what he wanted in a woman but this time it was in a marriage context. I still have no idea why I would be the friend he would confide that information to. What makes me so different?
We haven't talked on the phone since but he did e.mail me three weeks ago. He told me he was thankful for me and that he loved me and missed me. Also now that I live only 3 hours from him he said that he was going to try and come see me. *Whether or not he feels more than just friend feelings for me, that makes a woman feel great, just a hint for guys.
So my question is do I still have a chance with this guy? Or is it time to let go?
I'm definitely leaning towards you having a chance. Actually, I wouldn't even bring 'chance' into the equation. The fact that he wants to travel 3 hours to see you really says a lot to me. I'm not sure about the whole 'what I want in a girl' thing. When he talks about this, is it essentially you he is describing? Anyways... Overall I would say, without a doubt, that he cares about you deeply and that there is great potential for you two to get together, judging from the information you have provided. I wish you the best.
When he talked about his "dream" woman he was talking about traits in general and hobbies he'd like to share with her. Some were very similar and some were different, which is fine because its good to have different interests to add depth. - 7 months ago
