Trust is what you are really concerned about, and you can best answer the question about whether you trust him. Women have a sixth sense about situations, so if you are feeling regret about him having your number, there might be a problem, but if you are just concerned about giving out your number in general, then you should be OK.

Contrary to popular beliefs not everybody on the internet is a crazy stalking serial rapist. Sure some of us are pretty quirky but seriously there are a lot of nice guys on here. Just look at the kind folks on this website.
Sure why not, if he ever turns out to be a stalker you can simply block his number. Never ever give out social security numbers or your physical location to anyone though, from online.
My suggestion is before you give him your phone number, try using Skype. You can use your computer to talk and even see the other person on your computer. If the online relationship becomes more serious, then you can give it to him but realize when you do he can most likely figure out where your from if you haven't told him already.
Yep skype works great. No reason to give out your number if you use that...and you don't have to use the webcam if you don't want. Gals usually give me their numbers very quickly online. But you shouldn't give out your number if you aren't completely comfortable...and he should understand that. As I said, you don't need to give out a # if you use skype. - 5 months ago
