How can I get over my commitment phobia? Any advice? I can keep a guy as a friend, flirt with him but as soon as it seems like its getting serious I just want to get rid of him.
I'm not afraid of being alone, I'm more afraid of being close to someone. Its like I'm protecting myself from being hurt, keeping my virginity and my freedom.
Only way to get rid of phobias is to face the phobias. With that said, you should 'get serious' with a guy you like, and do it as an experiment and see how it goes. Just because you're dating doesn't mean you will lose your freedom and virginity. Do the flirting, find the right guy, and next time, just go one extra step. The more you will face the fear, and at some point hopefully you will have enough experience to get rid of that fear. Talking about it won't help much; action will go a long way.
My advice would be to just talk to the guy when you feel like your getting serious. Tell him what your feeling. If he likes you for you then he'll understand but if he never calls you again don't become insulted because he probably only wanted one thing. Remember this isn't a bad thing, a lot of people are scared of committing and most of them are guys so if your honest with them and yourself than things will work out eventually. Good luck!
It seems to me I have a bit of a problem. Whenever I meet a guy I like I wish nothing more than to see him or talk to him everyday, that is. Until I...

Describe your ideal first date; Where do you go? What do you wear? How does the date end?
I would go for a meal at a nice Italian restaurant in a town center. I would wear something dressy, but comfortable. Like a skirt with a plain top and a shrug to dress it up. The date would end with a hug and a peck on the lips/cheek.
Afterwards..what will your date know about you?
My date would know the basics of me, such as hobbies/ interests and, really, the everyday things about me. Obviously, he would know anything else he wanted. Nothing to deep or personal though.
