Long distance relationship

My boyfriend and I talk almost every day on Skype.. it's a wonderful program that allows you to have something like a "video phone-call" on your computer.. it's nifty, easy, and a lifesaver in a long distance relationship..

My roomie used to call her boyfriend and they'd watch the same movie at the same time while on the phone..I've not done that one but she said that it helped her a lot.

the guy that you are in a relationship has to be trustworhy and honest. If he is not a guy like that or if he is an "asshole", you shouldnt have a long distance relationship with him.
If you want to keep it strong and keep it going, I personaly think that you guys must see each other maybe twice a year... Or else it would be really hard because you both have your own worlds.

make sure you gyus are honest with each other and have good communication.also,dont get in an argument too easily.umm...also,try to c each other at least once a month.ive been in one b4 and know people who has.n those are the things our guys did to keep it good^.^good luck!

I AM in a LDR have been for three years...
and I think that the things that ismiley16 has pretty much some summed it up for everybody.

Oh I think I can help you with this one I've been in a long distance relationship for almost 7 months soo here's what you can do...

One thing is if you met over the computer (I did) You need to start talking on the phone for a few hours a day (this means more than one)

Another thing that can help is if you clear a few weekends just to spend talking to each other late at night.

Make sure you keep her feeling loved even if your far away.

And if your old enough and you have been together long enough (or feels likeyou have) make plans to go see her (since your the guy and it would just be wrong to send a girl across state)

But before you even pitch the seeing each other idea make sure you have KNOWN (as in befriended and dated) for a long enough that the suggestion would seem appropriate.

To keep it strong is to make promises you won't break. Could always send her flowers so you know she's thinking of you, even surprising her would help. When you see her make the night to remember. Don't be expecting sex because of the time you haven't seen her, make her realize it you really love her and sex can wait.

communication is key! always talk to her keep her on your mind at all times and talk to her so she's always thinking of you too! if you keep talking to her and always on eachothers mind its gonna go strong! also trust. you two must have 100%! trust in eachother. and last but not least you both must put 100% of yourself's into the relationship. if any of those things communication trust or effort wavers then the relationship will fall apart shortly! also have plans to see each other make plans to fly out and be with her. and if things are serious between you two decided whos gonna move to be with who.. that's the hardest thing. is whos gonna give up being with friends and family and job to start a new life with the one they love. for my girlfriend and I our plan is me move there but its also possible for her to move here so we will have to figure that out after we visit each other and decide where we wanna stay.

you will miss the physical touch when you do call or txt her and tell her how much you miss her! also if you two have intrest in it there's always phone sex witch never beats real sex but can keep the relationship fresh!
