I am 20 and still on my parents insurance I know I can get a prescription written from my doctor without them knowing but when I get it filled will they be able to see what the prescription was that I got filled? If they can see it than I don't want to do it. If they found out I was having sex they would be very upset. So if they can tell then what is another way I can get on birth control?
You can also put the prescription in at a pharmacy that doesn't have your insurance and pay for it out of pocket. I think it ranged in the $35-55 range.
hah I had the same problem! I just told my mom that I started having realllyyy abnormal periods lately, so I felt I needed to go on to regulate them. all is well now :)
Type in Family PACT program in your yahoo search or google or whatever you use and then click on the first link that shows up. I know the program is available in california but I don't know how it works for other states. Just make sure when you fill out the paperwork you put your phone number down or else they'll be calling your house and stuff. I recommend it far more than planned parenthood. Good luck!
i would either tell your parents that you have been having abnormal periods or really bad cramps. that's what I did... or if you don't want to do that, then go to planned parenthood, I don't think your parents would find out because you don't need insurance. and birth control is completely free there!
