I've had an experience where a girl wore heeled boots during sex, so it's not extremely rare I wouldn't think. The one downside is when you're switching positions or anything, the clunkiness or sharpness of the boots/heels can be annoying. If the girl is on top and she accidentally puts her foot down on you as she's getting off, or wraps her legs around you tight when she's on the bottom, then the boots can be a pain.
