Okay, I just adore this guy, but sometimes he seems too good to be true. And a few things he does seem borderline "gay". He is a total ladies man. Most of his friends are women, but I know he also has slept with a lot of girls in the past. He works out with a personal trainer and likes shopping (he said to me "I wish you could come shopping with me, that would be so much fun". LOL), once when we walked past a spa he commented on wanting to go there and get his hair done and then laughed like he was joking? He plays the piano and sings very well. He loves to cuddle. He is sweet and complimentary and he takes an hour to get ready to go somewhere. He once told me that when he lived in San Fransisco a guy came up to him and stuck his hand in his shirt. He said he told the guy "I am very flattered, but I am not into that".?
He might not be gay, but he doesn't hide the fact that he is open minded about anything . He might just be a non-masculine straight guy, like Mike Jarrick on the Morning Show with Mike and Juliet ( A syndicated production of the Fox News Channel ) .
If you really want to find out, make a move on him . I am almost 36, I've been married for almost 10 years . I am about as straight as it gets . I drink whiskey straight-up, and I love my cigars . I never did get the whole "gay men" thing . I mean . From my point of view God HAS to be a man . Have you seen women ? ! He has to be a man . Only a God would create something SO perfectly beautiful as woman .
In any case, I hear you . I only have one friend (besides my wonderful wife) who is a woman, and it's always been shaky . I'll be honest, I love being her friend, but I have to be so careful . Every time I try to move her to my "inner-circle" of lifelong friends (my 5 guy buddies), her ass and her tits get in the way .
Your guy does "sound" possibly gay . For example, I hate shopping for anything (except at LOWEs, which rules ! ) . I would never get "my hair done", I get it shaved twice a year, I hate the piano, I can't sing a note, I only cuddle my two precious little girls, and I can be out of the house in 10 flat .
He could be "metro," I guess is the term for it. But he could just be very well rounded and like looking good. He could also be bi, or be a closet gay. The best way to find out, is have another gay guy use their gaydar, lol. Just kidding. But there are some people that are really good at spotting gay people. But just because he likes some stuff doesn't mean he's gay.
Nah, he's metro. I have a guy friend just like that. Totally straight, but I thought he was gay at first, and he gets hit on by gay guys all the time. He just sets off people's gaydars. I had to rescue him in a club once from an extremely intoxicated gay man who couldn't comprehend that he was actually straight, haha.
Seriously, though, if your friend were closeted, he probably would not be comfortable joking about the San Francisco guy. He's just straight, but very much in touch with his feminine side and not afraid of "looking gay" or of being hit on by gay men like a lot of straight guys are. He's comfortable with his sexuality, which is healthy for any guy, straight, gay, bi, or something in between.
I don't think he is gay. I have a guy friend that's the same way and I thought that at first too. He is just showing his feminine side. Be grateful that he is showing that side because not many men will. He will know how to treat women. He can make everything so much fun. Enjoy the moment because you might not find another man that has that girly side.
So there's this guy (the same from my other question) who I totally dig, but lots of people think he's gay. Even one of the people answering my...

What pickup lines do you use to start a conversation with someone you are attracted to?
Well normally I don't usually make the first move only if I'm brave enough to. I can be pretty shy when it comes to that. I would never use pick-up lines. They never work. I would just do a normal "Hey, how are you? My name is ______ ______. What's yours?"
How do they typically respond?
They usually just smile and respond to the question. I like girls when they smile, it leaves a picture in my mind and it remembers me of them better.
