If its true that guys are afraid of virgins because their afraid the girl will be "clingy" and "emotionally attached" and so on- than I'm guessing telling him AFTER the act would be just as bad because than he might feel a little gypped . Can I tell him before AND can I tell him that I won't be clingy ? Can I try and reassure him ?

Well, if he's worried about you being clingy, he probably doesn't want to be a real boyfriend, but just wants the sex . . And anyway, you can't know for sure that you won't be clingy, because his version of that might be different from yours .

I think you should tell him before, not after . That way you'll know if he is worth it .

When a man finds out that a woman is a virgin, he's thinking: AWESOME ! To have sex with a virgin is special to another person as virginity is a rare thing especially amongst older folks .

Clingy and emotional attached are personality traits . Being a virgin is a physical trait and I don't believe that too many guys equate those two . If anything he should feel special that you have decided to share that gift with him .

As for telling him, go ahead, tell him your a virgin but why even discuss or bring up the "clingy" part ?

To me, when people tell me "Don't worry, I am not clingy" it just raises a flag . If your not clingy, don't discuss it . Besides, you should /never/ have to sell yourself to your boyfriend or girlfriend because they either see you for who you are and love you for that or you lie to yourself and pretend your somebody your not .

Of course you can . The key to reassuring him is in HOW you tell him . Make sure you appear to be assertive and comfortable with the fact that you are a virgin . Don't act or say something like, "umm . You know . Uhh . This is my first time, are you ok with that ? " Statements like that cry out attachment needs and clingy . Just do your best to appear comfortable and self accepting about being a virgin, and you should be . It's something that some guys, myself included, do honor in a girl .
So you can say something like this with a cocky and playful tone of voice, "hey this is my first time, take it easy or else I will mount you and knock you out" *smiles*

No, that's not true at all ! That is the last thing I think of when it comes to hearing a girl is a virgin . There are tons of girls who aren't virgins who are clingy and emotionally attached . I would think that a girl who uses her body to get guys has a better chance of being clingy and emotionally attached .

But there is nothing wrong with being a virgin . When I hear that a girl is a virgin, I automatically have more respect for her . It is a tough thing to stay a virgin in today's world . It means that she has high standards . It means she doesn't use her body to get guys . It usually means she has higher self esteem then girls who will sleep with guys to get guy's attention and love .

Does it ever annoy you that you're single?
random-ren asked 3 days ago

Yes, most of the time! I really wish I had a boyfriend/girlfriend!

A little, because I feel left out.

Not really...

Nope! I have too much fun being single!

What's there to be annoyed about?

What pickup lines do you use to start a conversation with someone you are attracted to?
I think I use situations to start conversations...

If I'm approaching a female, I'd start by introducing myself, and following up with a compliment of why I had to introduce my self.

How do they typically respond?
If she is interested, she would ask questions, or make small talk while giving off some type of body language.

If she is not interested, she listens to whatever I say, and tells me something like she really into someone right now, but she appreciates the approach.

Do I have the right approach?
