Are there any women in sexless marriages?

I have been married for over ten years. Most of that has been sexless. I really enjoy sex and have strong needs in that area. Are there physical reasons that women stop enjoying sex? My wife is not a selfish person, and its confusing to me that she has no desire. The worst part is the fact that I think she knows (we've spoken about it several times) that I end up desiring other women. So far I haven't crossed the line, but I am very resentful. I seriously believe there's nothing I can do to change the situation.

I"m in a sexless marriage. My 47 y. O husband is impotent and I crave for sex. It is a torture and it is a problem for me to find a lover because my husband is controlling me. I'm an immigrant and I do not have any family here and don't have much of anything , so I have no place to go. Divorce? And then what? Where would I go with my son? Who will help me?. Very sad. :-(.

First you should be proud of yourself for staying loyal this long. Go to counseling. Do you have kids. Hopeful it can get better soon.

This doesn't apply to me personally but I have a girlfriend who is dealing with a husband who is dealing with something like this.
Maybe counseling?

That kind of moral dilemma sounds like torture. I completely empathize with you, since I would probably feel the same way. You need to find out why your wife is not meeting your needs, because if she cares about your sanity, she should at least try to please you. In a way, it is sort of an obligation for a wife to please her husband, and vice-versa. Taking that a step further, perhaps some of her emotional needs are not being met. Or maybe she is going through physical changes like menopause that have the potential to decrease libido.

I'm not accusing either of you, but sometimes inaction is the worst action, and it's the one that's straining your marriage. If you want to solve this issue, it will take some open, honest, possibly blunt discussion about what needs to happen in order for the marriage to succeed.

You have three choices here. You can go on this way, get counseling, or end the marriage. I would take some positive steps by trying counseling. If she is unwilling to try to change, and get to the root of the problem, then get a divorce and move on. The way you are living is no way to go through life. And, the resentment will only get stronger!

Yes, most of the time! I really wish I had a boyfriend/girlfriend!
