As far as how they feel about it: 1) Many girls have been asked that question, and they usually say they are fine with the guy being a virgin, and 2) Your girlfriend is a virgin herself, so, if she were to object to you being one, she would have to be a hypocrite. I'm sure she won't object.
In your situation I don't think experience is that important you can always pick up tips from books and dvd's although stay away from porn as a leaning tool because it will just give a misleading impression look for a good educational dvd
