Against it. It is a train wreck waiting to happen. And sooner or later, it will happen. The label "friends with benefits" Is a really lame excuse for one person to sleep around without commitment. I believe there's always the other person in the "relationship" that goes along with it because they hope for something more. I have been involved in a relationship like this and I don't know other people's thoughts, but it was never about the sex for me. I think its mostly the men who propose the idea. The women agree to it because they're insecure and willing to put up with the "friends with benefits" rather than be alone.

Exs have friends with benefits it comes along because you been intimate with that person before. As for just friends my guess is they just want sex sometimes feelings develop its hard

Well I know it sounds bad. But I have a friend who only has this type of a relationship with the guys she sees. She is for sure not the best looking girl, and she says she can get any guy she wants (except she has never had a boyfriend). Most guys will take whatever they can get with her, but it never goes further into a serious relationship. Anyway, she always wants to date them and they never want to date her. Just friends with benefits. So I think this could be a pretty common reason. Hope that helps!

Friends with benefits to me are two people that don't think they will work out in a relationship but they still want to be friends and are still physically attracted to each other so they agree to have sex with no strings attached. That's friends with benefits plain and simple!

What happens is that someone wants a persistent booty call with someone they know and trust but not necessarily with the kind of person who is their "Type". Basically it is the same as F**k buddies only with a bit more personal touch. It is a very open relationship with no expectation or no accountability with a flexible "dating" schedule.
