I've read that it's because when you're about to orgasm your breathing rate increases, and as the air is forced out through your windpipe it hits your vocal cords and you moan. I'm guessing girls then exaggerate it, it's sort of a innate response, and maybe girls feel like it encourages the guy when he's doing something right. If you like something you've got to speak up to let him know to do it more often!

D is the most accurate option. Some girls DO fake it and just moan because they think they're supposed to, whether it's actually good or not. Moaning is one way a person might vocalize how good something feels, without using words. In a lot of cases, it's involuntary and you'd have to consciously make an effort to keep quiet. Some girls are quiet naturally. Some girls are screamers, haha. Also, some girls are more sensitive and enjoy certain things over others. That doesn't mean the girl who's screaming as you pound her is necessarily enjoying it MORE than the girl who's a bit quieter. It really varies. Umm... I did a poll about women moaning during sex because I was wondering if it was fake for most or it was just natural... We can't help it, it's just what comes naturally to us. Also, I think it's partially for the guy's enjoyment. I always try to be a little noisier than I need to be (even just breathing louder when making out) to make him feel good about what he's doing. When I'm enjoying myself, I want him to know it.

It's ridiculous that you are asking this question. You should be moaning too. Nothing dries me up like a guy who doesn't moan during sex... you know it's a good time when both parties voice their enthusiasm. I can't even watch porn where the guy doesn't moan during his orgasm. YAWN.
