I echo the previous comments. It can be due to medication side effects, stimulation of the breasts, a pituitary tumor, or other hormonal causes. Have her see a doctor about it, especially if she has other symptoms like visual changes or headaches.

it can also be caused by a tumor on the pituitary gland. Its located in your head.. She might want to get her prolactin levels checked.. if they are higher than normal they will do an MRI to check. I had it done about 10 years ago.

A woman can develop lactation, there's hormones you can get via shot (usually these shots are for women who want to nurse any adopted child), but the other one I've heard of is by attempting to feed over a period of time, eventually she'll produce milk.

Part of producing milk is psychological and part hormonal. I haven't heard of any personal stories, then again most of my friends are either mothers at a young age, never mothers at an older age, or mothers much older than I.
