Sex with a friend?

You need to talk to him about it first. You have to let him know that you don't want a relationship, but that some sex would be nice.
It might be awkward for you to tell him, but he deserves to know.

This is going to cause a big argument here, but I feel this is the best way to have a sex-fling. With a friend, it means you know the person and what to expect out of him. It is safer than picking up a stranger from the clubs or from the internet. You clearly said that you have no interest in making this guy a boyfriend so you will not become too attached to him. Because you know him, he will understand you well enough that what happens in the bedroom, stays in the bedroom, be it for one night only or for a sex-fling. But I encourage you to talk to him SOBER before you jump him. You just might be pleasantly surprised with him.

On the flip side, this could lead to a bad breakup in the end. He may get too attached to you or vice versa. Yep, you may discover that the average joe can be the best man after all. Use caution. I wish the best for you and go for it. I wish there were more women with your kind of openness to the average joe.

I don't think it's a good idea really more often than not it ruins a friendship. If your just looking for casual sex then try someone your not friends with it's a lot less complicated

I have the same feelings for some of my friends i think if you like them enough and they like you casual sex isn't bad. Just tell him or her its casual

Definitely talk to him first so all expectations are known. Friends with benefits are awesome because you can still just kick it or you can heat it up. Communication is key to FWB, keep it open so no one gets hurt. Have fun!

Honestly, when it comes to guys, unless he really really likes you(like if you were more attractive than he is. Or he wants to date you) then you don't have to say anything. If he does like you more than just casual then you should just tell him that you want to keep it light. Otherwise, guys really don't care, sex is sex. Most won't refuse

I would let him know the circumstances and explain to him that this is purely for fun. I think guys more so than girls are into a "friends with benefits" kind of thing, so he probably won't object. Just don't lead him on.
