I think I'm gay?

Well first off Gay means a guy that likes guys a Lesbian is a girl that likes girls. I don't know you but you might just be going after guys for there money and power or looks? If this is you then try going out with one of your guy friends that you get along with really well. I wouldn't blame you for thinking guys are not attractive cause they are not. From what I have heard and seen girls go after guys that can provide for and take care of a family, and there are some guys that look like they can't even get an ugly women and end up with absolutely gorgeous partners; so maybe drop the material things and go after a guy that only has his personality going for him. Otherwise you are a lesbian :)

Well, do this little experiment in your head: Imagine a date with a woman. Now imagine having sex with that woman. How does that make you feel? Do you like that? Now do the same thing but with a man. Same questions. If you can thoroughly imagine them both and enjoy the thoughts, then you are probably bi. If you are in no way attracted to men, but still like the women then you are gay.

This may seem completely off topic, but I have a point.

What was your homelife like with your family? Any alcoholism or drug use? Parents fighting? Divorce? Anything else that would be crazy, upsetting or chaotic?

So give it a try, go out with a hot chick. who knows maybe your bi. I'm not happy with just a guy either.

I am aware that the Kinsey tests are controversial because of the bias used in sample testing. I just used it to illustrate that labels are overrated. I also read that gay men have lower levels of testosterone than staight men so this points to it being a birth thing rather than some "odd" lifestyle choice that you can be "cured off". Why would you want to alter who you are are? I'm bi but my sibling is straight so what is your point on this childhood trauma/gay thing?(please see the other anonymous comment I left below advising the questioner). Aside from insinuating that being gay/bi is something strange and unnatural.

I think you should try kissing a girl first and see if you like it. If you do, go further. Go on a date and see what you like.

It's hard to put a label on it because not everyone is strictly straight or gay. Kinsey had a scale from 1-10 which calculated to what degree a person was straight or not so its pretty fluid. I spent so much time worrying about my sexuality but you feel what you feel for a reason-you can't force a spark if its not there.

I have always had major trust issues with men so sometimes I wonder "did that make me bisexual?" but I've another sibling who had a similar upbringing (obviously lol) and is totally straight so it must be just me! So I would tend to believe that you're born straight/gay/bisexual. You usually become aware of it early on only its hard to accept it at that early age. Just go for who you want without labelling yourself yet.
