I never dreamed I would be unfaithful to my husband and was always critical of people who cheated. Then I came into contact (online) with an old friend who I had liked and slept with a couple times during high school. We kept emailing back and forth and the feelings started to escalate between us. I started to fall in love with him and he with me. We ended up meeting for coffee once and talking and then again. The 2nd time we ended up kissing but I stopped it at that. I think part of the reason is that we are both feeling a bit emotionally and sexually unfulfilled in our marriages. I am still emailing with this guy but trying to cut back. It is hard when you have such strong feelings for one another, but neither one of us wants to destroy our marriages either.

Question Asker Do you and this other guy live close to one another? - 5 months ago
Answerer No, but it isn't so far that we couldn't find a way to see each other more if we really wanted to carry on an affair. - 5 months ago
Question Asker Do you or other other guy have kids? That is a big issue about staying in a marriage. If there were no kids. You may be a little more willing to see where this takes you? - 5 months ago
Answerer Both of us have kids so it could be a mess plus I just feel it is morally wrong. Still I have a hard time keeping my feelings for him under control. - 5 months ago
Question Asker Does your husband have a clue. I found my wife doing this exact thing - 5 months ago
Answerer I am pretty sure my husband has no clue. If he found out it would probably upset him greatly and I would feel really bad. That is one of the (many) reasons I don't want to follow through with it any further. But this person is also someone who was a friend from a long time ago and it can be hard to let go of that. It is also nice to feel that someone (else) is still attracted to you, so that may be part of it too. - 5 months ago
Question Asker Very difficult situation..you are correct it is great to know you are still attractive. the fact you have a past with this person I can see makes it a lot more difficult, because the emotional attachment is there. But at the same time you have made a commitment for a lifetime. We have a lot in common. Nice to talk to someone who is going through the same type of situation - 5 months ago

Yes once when I was 19 so many, many years ago. I had been seeing this guy for a couple of months and everyone including my Mother had been telling me he was cheating on me, and I had planned on breaking it off but I left town to go see a friend. Same old story, got drunk, got stupid, yeah you could fill in the blanks here..... When I went the 300 miles home a few days later I walked in on my guy having sex with a stripper on his couch. So I vowed then to never cheat again, I thought it was like karma kicking me in the ass. lol

Ahhh! Ok, this is anonymous; so here goes:
Yes, I have cheated. While I was with this one guy I slept with my ex who I was still madly in love with AND I had an entire other relationship with a woman at the same time!!! Ahhh!
Basically, I "strayed" from my relationship because I had no romantic feelings for the guy (combined with his exceptionally small penis). Him and I were really good friends and we thought that it would be awesome to be together; but it wasn't. We never argued... it was just bland and boring. My feelings for that person were almost like feelings one would have for a brother. I am a very passionate person and I was bored with him.... but when my ex came around from out of the blue I was like "woo hooooo!"!! We couldn't be together because his family hates my religion (Judaism) and they were going to hook him up with some arranged marriage (ugh), so it was very intense because we weren't "supposed" to be doing it! It was awesome!! As for the girl, that is a vague memory that I'm trying to forget (not because I don't like girls; because I don't like her!).

I've never cheated on anyone, and never will. If you realize that you can't keep a commitment, at least back out of the commitment instead of breaking it. (Still not much integrity there, but it's better than cheating I think).

I've been all around the rest of the circuit though...I've been cheated on (I was surprised by how little it affected our relationship, since she told me right away...and there were extenuating circumstances). And, unfortunately, I've been the person that a girl cheated on her boyfriend with. I was more upset at myself for that than she was for cheating on her bf. I'll never do that again, that's for sure.
