Is it OK to tell a little white lie about this...?

After we had sex for the first time, my boyfriend asked if he was the biggest I've ever been with. I told him yes he was definitely bigger than any guy I had ever seen. Of course this gave him a major confidence boost which made me feel good, too. But then I got to thinking the other day, should I really have said this to him?

I mean he's not small or anything. He's around the average length, maybe a little bigger. The thing is my last ex boyfriend was a lot bigger than he was. This doesn't really bother me at all. Size doesn't matter to me, but it seems like it really affects my boyfriend. I can tell he's trying really hard to outdo my ex. He wants to prove to me that he's better. I keep trying to tell him that he is better in every way. So I told him he was bigger than my ex, too.

This is probably no big deal. I mean it shouldn't really matter, right? I just want opinions. Do you guys think I did the right thing by telling him this little white lie?

Nope. He deserves to know the truth. You're just hurting him by telling him a lie like that. Fact is, penis size is a big deal. If he's smaller than your ex, he's gonna feel a massive blow. When he finds out, it'll feel like you condescended to him to protect his feelings, which will make it worse -- like castration.

Just tell him he's small and let him figure out the consequences on his own.

Imagine the alternative: "You're good--really you are--but my last guy, had a real horse c*ck. But you're a good lover, and I like you as a person."

You could have played this either way, really. Guys who ask dumb*ss questions like that deserve the truth.

I think the main problem is that your boyfriend asked a loaded question and put you in an uncomfortable position.

The penis-size question from a guy is a no-win for the girl. It's just as bad as when a girl asks do-these-pants-make-my-butt-look-big. Now you know how those questions feel like a trap, so perhaps you can avoid asking guys those kinds of things ;)

Overall, I think your lie is not a big deal. But I also advise you to beware if this guy seems preoccupied with out-doing your ex, y'know?

Good luck!

Meh. I've done it. I don't think it's a big deal. His infatuation with your ex, however, is an issue.

Btw, if a guy ever tells you you're the most beautiful girl in the world, he's lying too. Same thing. Or saying fat girls aren't fat. It's the thought that counts.

It's wrong that he's even trying to compare himself to your last ex. When people ask qusestions like that, they just want to be reassured, but they might also hear things they don't wanna hear.

If I were you and my boyfriend asked me that, then I would've lied too. It's not like he's going to figure it out anyways right? Why start unnessacry drama over nothing.

I would've done the same thing. He backed you into a corner there by saying if it was the biggest-he should have just asked(if he had to ask anything which I don't think he should've) whether you enjoyed the sex. He's just really insecure and its only a white lie. If you had said no then he would have got really mad so sometimes it is better to just lie. Like women usually lie about how guys they've slept with. I always think "why do they need to know so badly?!"

However the problem is these type of guys need a LOT of reassurance so after a while, the white lies can add up.Just don't let it get to the point where you're constantly having to telling white lies or constantly reassure him-once in a while is normal but not all the time.
