Cotton undies can totally be sexy! It usually just depends on the cut and/or design if there is one. Some of my favorite underwear are cotton. But they're more 'cute sexy' than 'sexpot sexy' like some of my more lacy numbers. I also have some that are cotton, but trimmed with lace, so they're the best of both worlds.
I don't have a particular preference, but cotton is better for you as far as underwear goes anyway, because they let your downstairs breathe. This is doubly true for girls.
