I'm talking about emotional pain like making each other jealous. Is it abnormal that a boyfriend would ask me to talk about my sexual past while he was having sex with me? Is there any healthier way of mixing pleasure with pain?

Its just part of erratic sex life, newer methodology comes into practice with concepts that turn us on. Talking about past life, would make him feel more on his turf then loosing it at the last stage; as in sex is a good way of countering pain. The more harder it is for him to gulp down the easier it is for him to translate that into sexual pleasure.
If he can stand what you have mentioned while having sex then he definately wouldn't mind "a role play". This is immensely pleasurable if both of you can handle the complexities that follow it. (I have this in one of the articles I have written. A compounded love affair)

Is it painful for you to talk about your sexual past or do you mean that you think it's painful for him to hear about it because he's probably actually getting off on it

Question Asker Why is he getting off on sexual past? - 7 months ago
Answerer Some guys get off in e ways. A guy I know once got picked up by a married woman who told him that her husband liked her to screw other guys so he went back to her place and the hubby was there watching TV. The wife told him she was taking the guy up stairs but the husband just waved her on and didn't even look round from the TV. They guy had assumed the husband was going to watch and said so the wife but she told him no her husband only wanted her to tell him what had gone on afterwards - 7 months ago

I wouldn't think so. It sounds a little (whats the world where you love giving pain or receiving pain? )

Why would he ask you to talk about sexual past when having sex with you? That is just weird. He might be insecure about having sex with you, so he is trying to find out your past. If he does it every time, he might be really insecure with you or with himself.

Question Asker How does insecurity translate into this? How can you tell it's due to insecurity? What type of insecurity? How can I make him more secure? - 7 months ago
ppfxxx If he just wanted to find out about her past I think he would probably have asked before and not actually during sex - 7 months ago
