Do guys like it when you're a virgin?

It does depend on the person and where they stand on certain issues. Men who generally care about virginity usually care because of the emotional reasons, not the physical ones. In theory, if you only have sex with one person in your life, even if you start inexperienced...it is better. Because everyone has different preferences in sex, and becoming 'experienced' with one person may be detrimental when with another. Virgin partners can 'train' each other to perform in a way best to them both, and in a committed, permanent relationship it can foster greater growth, performance, and pleasure than otherwise.

Men who just want sex don't care. Men who want a commitment and a mate, not just a lover, do care. A piece of advice: head-over-heels always dies. Love is something fueled by the self-sacrificing desires of two individuals for the others good and well-being. Infatuation always dies down at some point, but true love outlasts infatuation and preserves itself.

The answer will totally depend on the type of guy. There are plenty in each category:
- Some who want to have sex on the first date will be disappointed and turned off
- Many more will be respectful and willing to wait until your are ready, the sooner the better though.
- Those that share your desire to experience their first time with someone they love in a trusting relationship will be happy to have found someone who shares their desire.
- And the ones who have committed to waiting until they are married hope to marry a girl who did the same.

I am not only o.k. with a girl being a virgin but I'd actually prefer it. I'D be more than happy to date someone like you.

Well presumably that particular factor will come to light a rather bit _after_ you've already begun dating... Unless your pickup line is like, "Yo yo yo, virgin here! w00t!" :D Once you're intimate enough to begin discussing these sorts of things, then that's a different dynamic than "Will he date me?"

AFAI'm concerned, no guy in their right mind would reject someone because she's a virgin -- making love with a virgin is arguably THE biggest fantasy for a guy. For me, it'd simultaneously be a feeling of "OMG, me? She's choosing me, out of everybody, to be her first? Oh wow...", and suddenly feeling a whole lot more pressure to "do things right," like "OMG I don't want to hurt her OMG Is this OK? OMG." But then again I do tend to over-think these things... :) Many guys are more oblivious, which can be both a plus and a minus.

Would I reject someone for being a virgin? Hell no! Would it make things more complicated? Certainly. For one, there's pressure to make it good for you, which can affect, er, "performance." But at the same time there's a deep drive in guys to be a girl's first. I think they balance out.

You can think of it this way, would someone who uses prostitutes care if they are virgins? Of course not, he is USING her for sexual release. There are many "free gigolos" lurking around looking for "free prostitutes". None care if you are a virgin or not.

If any guy doesn't date you because your a virgin, well then he obviously doesn't respect you. And that's one more bad fish out of the pool. Find a guy who still wants to date you regardless. Also, one last thing, do not tell everyone your a virgin. Keep this private, it's no ones business but yours.

Later in life there will be guys who care about that, but at your age I'd say you're too young for that to be an issue for the majority of (decent) guys you'll encounter. If it is an issue with a guy you're interested in then he's probably not worth your time. Don't feel pressured to become "more experienced" because you want to make yourself more desirable to other guys.

I think that after the age of 18 (the guy), he might want someone more experienced. But it does depend on the type of guy he is. My boyfriend told me he actually loves the fact that I'm a virgin, even though he's not :P I told him I wasn't happy when I found out he slept with 5 girls before, so I asked him how many guys I would of have to slept with for him to not be happy about it and he said 1.

There are some guys who will want you to be experienced. They are NOT worth your time. They are more concerned about their own orgasm than they care about you. I waited until I found the man I love, and it was the best choice I've made. (And he was glad I was a virgin, I think.) I have NEVER regretted not sleeping with someone. And by waiting for the right man, it was much more meaningful. As for "experience," that is something quickly gained once you start. What's more, being promiscuous doesn't necessarily make a person more experienced. They just spread their experience across more partners. To me, I'd prefer to keep my experience limited to a loving and committed relationship. Would every guy be okay with that? No. But I was able to weed them out until I found the right guy for me. (And I suspect that there are more like him.)

My boyfriend (way before he liked me) had a crush on this girl, but she wasn't a virgin so he wouldn't date her. He's really weird about that. So yes, some people will date you no matter if your a virgin or not. The right guy won't mind at all.
