How long can a relationship last without having sex?

My girlfriend and I dated for 5+ years before getting married and both of our first times was our wedding night.

As long as it takes.

About 2 or 3 months ...if you are talking about from the beginning that is. If I was in a sexual relationship with a girl and for some reason we couldn't have sex because of a medical condition or we were separated or something then I would say maybe up to a year.

In theroy it could go forever, though if you did that you'd be missing a very important aspect of the relationship.

more than a year, surprisingly if it was real love, you don't have to be attracted to the other sexually and that's not the reason why ur with him/her, so it doesn't matter that much if you had it or not.

No relationship should be based around sex. I feel that if someone is in love, that it shouldn't matter how long it takes. I'm not going jeopardize losing a relationship with a potential future wife and life partner because she wants to wait for sex until marriage.

When I was a virgin and I was with my first serious boyfriend we were together for 6 months and didn't have sex, we did oral though

like one month. If I stopped with my boyfriend I think I would be angry and snippy all the time and maybe even start loving him less

I have a friend and her and her boyfriend have been together just over two years and he was not a virgin but she is. They have not had sex, not even oral but they are happy. He loves her so he is willing to wait for her.

I don't see there being a time limit on something like that. My longest relationship was 13 months and I'm still a virgin. :D
