I'm 19 and ready to have sex with my boyfriend of 11 months, but the problem is I'm built really small in every way and somehow I think he's not going to fit inside me (I can't even get a mini tampon in!). I'm worried that my vaginal opening is just way too small for him to get in.could that happen? I've heard that it does open up a little when you're turned on but I'm not kidding, I have a feeling it still won't expand enough.

Update: And yes I'm a virgin as most of you would've guessed from that.so I have no idea if it's going to work. What if it doesn't?    4 months ago

I knew a girl with an unusually small vagina and it turned out she had a medical condition that prevented her from having sex. If you are going to be sexually active you should see an OBGYN (or go to Planned Parenthood, they're way cheaper). They will do a medical exam and give you advice specifically addressing your concerns. Be brave and be bold.Write down your concerns on a piece of paper beforehand so you don't forget all your questons. You're not alone.

Just relax and take your time. Remember women pass babies through there. You should be able to get a penis in there.

There is something called vaginismus (there is even a web site for it at www.vaginismus.com) that talks about pain through intercourse. Often this is created by an irrational fear and/or bad experiences during experimentation with fingers or tampons. What happens is your mind creates that is won't be able to happen and then there is an involuntary pc muscle spasming that prevents it.

So, my suggestion is to relax. Use a lot of lubricants (good stuff) take your time and tell your boyfriend so that both of you don't rush into anything. Sex can be very fun, exciting and pleasurable. Just enjoy everything you do along the way and when you feel it is the right time then go for it, again, very slowly. Remember you don't have to have his penis inside of you for you both to still be able to have a good time.

If its your first time. your muscles will be really tight. and there will be some pain.

the best thing you can do is lots and lots of foreplay and lubrication. take things really slow.
even if you can't do full penetration the first time just slowly work on it a little at a time and your muscles will stretch and relax a bit.

most importantly. Go Slow and Lubrication

I'm also very tight down there and I lost my virginity to a guy with an enormous penis. but I loved him so we tried. it did hurt at first, but our vaginas are built to stretch, so just be relaxed and use lots and lots of lube (astroglide is good). try it first with you on top so you can control how much of his dick you take in. keep a hand grasping the base his penis so that not all of it goes in - esp in to begin. anyway hope this helps

I think you will be okay, but it's really important to relax. I was nervous my first time, but I took a moment before he went inside to just breathe deep and relax- it helped a lot! Make sure to use lubricant and do a LOT of foreplay to help get you relaxed and wet. Try to get mentally prepared with the idea of what you are going to do as well, it will help you keep your cool and stay relaxed. Make sure he will listen to you too, it helps a lot to have a gentle, responsive partner who will go slower if you need him to. It will hurt a bit, but my first time hurt a little and then after that it just felt great. :) Good luck and use protection! (Make sure that the lube you use is water based so it doesn't hurt the condom if that's the way you choose.)
