ok so my boyfriend has this thing for giving hickeys and biting.sometimes out of the blue he just bites my arm as hard as he can and leaves a really really big bruise that turns from dark green to yellowish.and it hurts sooo much.anyone know why he might be doing this? I don't mind a small bite but not a big bruise !
I think it is addressing his primal urge. Let him know that it doesn't turn you on and in fact it turns you off. If he is able to control his urges by making small little nibbles then he may continue.
He may also be using as a way to "mark" his territory. People are inevitably going to ask how you go the bruise, so when you answer people will know you are his. Tell him to grow up.
That's an actual bite. If he breaks the skin, then you're going to have to get treatment and a tetanus shot; same as a dog bite. Tell him to stop it now.
