Alright, this is really weird to say and ask but I've never masturbated in my life is this a bad thing? At what age do females usually start masturbating? Its weird though because I get like super horny a lot but I've never even thought to try it is this bad?

I agree with all these answers so far in terms of doing what you want. But let me add this. For some guys, if we're not in a sexual relationship and we don't masturbate, it can cause the prostate gland to become irritated. This can be quite painful. So the question I have is: is there anything like that which happens to women? Something that is a negative consequence of going a long time without an orgasm?

Some people just don't care for it. If you don't care for it, then don't do it. It's the same as me not wanting to bungee jump, or sky dive, I just don't want to, so I'm not going to. If you decide to do it one day, well, there's nothing wrong with that either, so make whichever decision YOU want, not what you think you should do. As for me, I'm scared of heights, so. haha I'm not going to bungee jump or sky dive any time soon.

From the medical things I have read there are no negative physical effects on women from not orgasming. If a man doesn't pleasure himself if he isn't in a regular sexual relationship then he will ejaculated during his sleep usually. There is also some research to suggest men can develop prostate problems if they don't ejaculate often, as mentioned already. If you get horny but haven't thought to pleasure yourself then you obviously just don't need to give in to it. Females usually discover sexual pleasure earlier than men (contrary to popular belief) and I myself have masturbated since the age of 8 or 9, though obviously I didn't know w hat I was doing back then I just thought it felt good so I'd carry on. Masturbation IS a healthy thing though because it teaches you about what you like and how you need to be touched in order to climax. Perhaps some day soon you may want to give it a go!

Masturbation.something I've always questioned.and discussed with friends.
I've talked to guy friends about it.I do it more then some of them!
I don't think there's a negative side it.
Masturbation is a good thing! it helps you explore your needs, its completely healthy!
I started really young.I was about 12.Crazy I know! but I knew what I was doing.
and I find it was better, because now I know what I want from a guy or girl when they're touching me or when were having sex!

Trust me, its not bad at all.
It is healthy to masturbate, and it's healthy to never do so either.
I have some friends who are in their 20's and have never thought of trying it, even though at times they feel their hormones rushing, lol.

The only real benefits of masturbation are:
1. obviously to 'release' yourself
2. or to learn more about yourself sexually, what turns you on, what works for you, etc

But if niether of these things are main concerns for you, then really, you don't have any problems. =)

dave216 I disagreed with you solely due to your statement that it is healthy to not masturbate. I'm afraid that isn't accurate. It is healthy, or has good physiological effects on the body. It relieves stress, stretches unused muscles, adjusts hormone levels, and keeps the plumbing in good shape. - 5 months ago
Answerer I know the benefits, health wise, as to why masturbation is good.
But it isn't harmful to never masturbate either. That's basically what I meant. - 5 months ago

I don't think it's bad. To be honest, I didn't consciously start masturbating until I was 17. I know when I was a kid I probably did because I'm old enough to understand what it is now. But throughout my preteen and most of my teen years the thought never really crossed my mind. So, don't worry.
