What is your opinion on gay marriage ?

To tell you the truth I really don't think that this should even be all that big of an issue. Sure some people think it's wrong but it's their life so let them do what they want. But I think that marriage should only be between a man and a woman because the human race can multiply.

I think everyone should be free to love and marry whom ever they want whether it be two b\men, two women or a man and a women. They're relationship isn't hurting anyone else so who is anyone else to tell them what to do and who to love!

I'm also from Canada and am proud of our country for taking the right steps in legalizing gay marriages. A bunch of friends of mine have already married and so happy about it!

I'm from Canada where it is legal, and to be honest I don't really feel like it's made a big impact on us as a country. The gay are still gay there are no more of them, or no fewer. The straight are still straight, there are no more of them or no fewer. And anyone who had a problem with it still has a problem with it. Anyone that supported it, still supports it. I truly don't see why people think they should have the right to decide morally if a union between 2 loving people is right or wrong. Love is supposed to be a good thing, so why not just let people love each other in peace, and devote your attention to the more pressing matters that are facing your country.

or the lack of these things just to mention a few, in my opinion warrants a whole lot more attention then who's sleeping in you neighbours bed and whether or not their union morally outrages you.

My dad said, let them get married too. After all, why shouldn't they be just as miserable as the rest of us? :-)

Civil Unions - Yes! Marriages - No! Marriages were designed by our creator to be between a man and a woman so that there would be love between the two so that the human race would multiplied by having sex and the children would have a mother and father to teach them, give them good example of how their lives should be led, and care for them until adulthood. This isn't a discussion about religion. It's a well known fact! To do otherwise, or to legalize gay marriages, would be to defy God and that would constitute a gave offense against Him. That's my take on that. So I say we shouldn't allow it or make it legal in any states.

This shouldn't be a question except that people mistake their religious beliefs for a valid argument. Once you factor out inflicting religious beliefs on people who don't share those beliefs, we can see that this is simple discrimination similar to the laws that prevented interracial marriage. If both partners are legally eligible to marry, there should be no legal impediment to them getting married, not even the gender of their partner.

I suggest we, as a society, will be deeply embarrassed that we ever allowed this debate to occur on the national stage.

i think they deserve the right to choose to be with who they want to be with for the rest of their lives. who are we to tell them what to do with their lives?

I go Independent. C=. Anyway, I don't care for gay marriage. Sure let the homosexuals marry if they want to. I don't see how it will affect someone else and think its a stupid issue to fight again. If you are opposed to it, how does it affect you? Does it make your marriage unholier?

Let the gay community do what they want and stop wasting resources on unimportant issues and move on to more pressing stuff in the U.S. like Health Care and the Recession and the War.
