I am wondering if I am the only woman who is tired of the feminist speaking for me. They are keeping the gender war alive and causing our male counterparts to treat us like men. Personally, I believe women can do any white collier job just as good as a man can. However, if I am in the military, I do not want too be forced into doing traditionally male jobs like combat. I am thinking about joining an anti-feminist group. It is possible to be strong women without emasculating men.
I personally find feminist women ridiculously childish. One woman claimed my job as a ditch digger for the water company was sexist. So I took her over there and gave her a shovel and said, "Ok dig, you got 4 hours to get 8 feet".
I think it's hilarious that a woman who is allowed to use the internet, drive a car, go out in public uncovered, have choices and options, be educated, and have the kinds of privileges and opportunities you clearly do to make any comments about feminism. If it wasn't for feminists, you wouldn't even be on here, nonetheless be stating your opinions freely without retribution. Someone should start taking some of your precious rights away and I think you'll feel quite differently fast.
I don't think feminists are speaking for all women. And I think that women's lives have improved dramatically since feminism began. This seems like a strange stance to take. The goal behind most versions of feminism is to treat women as equals and allow them to live their lives however they choose. How could that be a bad thing? Do you think you are not equal to men?
I disagree with the feminist way of gaining equality. We shouldn't have to become men to be equals. We can be equal without going into combat. Women are physically weaker than men that is just a fact. I served 10years in the service. Trust me you don't want to do EVERYThing men do. There is power in femininity. I think you agree with me but you don't know the full aspect of feminism. Feminist aim to gain equality by emasculating men. oppressing the oppressor isn't right. - More than a year ago

Where is this combat thing coming from? I know of no feminist group that's pushing that.
As for emasculating men, well I guess it depends on what you mean. If it's emasculating for men to live in a world where a women is considered their equal, then yeah, I guess feminists are trying to emasculate men. If that's not the case I don't know what you are talking about. - More than a year ago

If you don't know what I am talking about, how can you comment? Find out for yourself. Is favoring women over men in custody battles making us even. NO it is not fare..if we are so equal then a man is just a capable of taking care of children as a women. This is akin to oppressing white people because of slavery. - More than a year ago

Hmm. Well okay, but I'm guessing that feminists within the ranks are a bit different than civilians. I stay pretty in touch with all feminist issues and I've really never heard of this. And whether it's the correct move or not, this probably is something that will be decided by civilians.
Really though, I can't see it ever happening. You'd need a powerful politician who was willing to become the "send your daughters to war" guy, and no one is ever going to go for that. - More than a year ago

As to your second point, women are generally favored in custody battles because they're generally the ones who provide most of a child's upbringing. I don't necessarily think that's a great way to go about it, and I'm sure some good fathers get screwed, but that's how it is. And that was true well before feminism had ever taken root. Divorce wasn't as popular, but children were always seen as being best off with their mothers. - More than a year ago
Just thought: Is it fair that women enjoy all the priveleges and freedoms of America but will never be drafted to help defend it? I disagree with the draft entirely but its just an interesting side point. The world would go to hell ig each gender do not bring their qualities to the table. I think most people calling themselves fmeinist are reasonable people but some really do hate men...or at least believe that masculinity in itself is a problem and that men must be feminized to be corrected. - A month ago

No, I don't think the draft thing is fair. Even if men are better at most aspects of combat, there are still plenty other roles to fill in a draft-sized war and I think women should have to fill them. I can't remember which war it would have been, but I remember talking to my little brother when one of them was breaking out and telling him that if he was drafted, I would enlist. I meant it.
For the other part, sure, some feminists hate men. Most don't. Most just want to be treated fairly. - A month ago
Well why don't they men to be treated fairly in custody battles? Stats on the behaivor of children that grow up fatherless are very concerning. Btw haven't you given in a stereotype by assuming women raise children more than men? I say it takes 2 parents ideally but no preference should be given to a mother. my other issue is that feminists often overreact to things (like the time tebow ad yesterday), most feminsits are genuine but the andrea dworkins seem to make more noise than than them. - A month ago

Women do raise children more than men. I've never seen, read or thought anything to suggest differently. Have you?
The Tebow ad is probably a lie. Abortion was extremely illegal there and it's very unlikely it would have been recommended. I'm not really sure where I stand on abortion, but it shouldn't be a religious question anyway. Like it or not, this isn't a theocracy and citizens shouldn't be subjected to the religious views of the majority. - A month ago
