I had sex last friday and the condom broke. I took plan b the same day and had no side effects but today I got my period. my last period was on july 7th so I should have gotten it around aug 7th, so it's about 2 weeks early. my last period was pretty light and didn't last a full week and that's not unusual for me but another condom did break before I got that period, but I didn't take plan b because my boyfriend realized it had broken that time and stopped before he came. I know plan b can make you have your period within a week of taking it because of the high dose of hormones, and getting it 2 weeks early is normal with plan b. so could I be pregnant and experiencing spotting or is this most likely a side effect of the morning after pill?

I'm not a doctor, but if you took the plan b and you took the pill the same day, this is related to that.
Good job. Taking care of yourself is first and foremost. You're fine. If you're not confident about it, then call a doctor and ask.

hows about. being like most girls that are going out with someone.

and take the pill. it is so much easier for all parties involved, and it has heaps of benefits, like clears acne, can stop you period fullstop (not that I am saying to do that) and it provides both of you with much better sex. especially for him!

Question Asker First of all not all girls dating someone will immediately go on birth control, because not all girls are actually having sex. second yeah I'm planning going on it once I start earning more money the pill really isn't that inexpensive - 4 months ago
Answerer I don't know any girl that is going out with a guy that isn't on the pill... it can't be that expensive can it? - 4 months ago
Question Asker Maybe things are different in australia than here when it comes to birth control, I know some countries are a little better about it than mine. but here it can be like 60 bucks a month maybe 30 at the least, and I currently have a really bad job that only gives me 2 hours per week and a paycheck every two weeks so I pretty much only have enough money to pay my cell phone bill. - 4 months ago
Answerer Lol well then I understand.. 30 dollars are week is not much if your working full time or at least 4 days a week.. but its your choice and I definitely see why you are not taking it... ask your boyfriend to pay for it! I would! - 4 months ago
Question Asker My job only gives me one day per week which is ridiculous hah but I'm going to be getting more hours and my boyfriend is probably getting a new job so maybe we can split the bill between us - 4 months ago

it is most likely that you are NOT pregnant. the broken condom could have hit nerves and set off. its probably neither, just what you're experiencing that is new to you.

I've been pregnant (I got an abortion) and I started to hurt. if you were pregnant, you would feel weird tingles, not an aff balance period miscommunication.
but since I cannot be for sure. maybe in about 8 weeks, try a pregnancy test, you can never be too safe.

good luck
kiki

Question Asker Well the information that came with the plan b said that it could make your cycle irregular for as long as two months, and that it could come a few weeks early so that most likely is what's happening but yeah I'm going to take a test to make sure - 4 months ago

Yes, you can still be pregnant ! BUT If you took the pill within the right amount of time then you are just probably having the side effects. This happened to me when taking Plan-B too. As you said the high dose of hormones throw off your cycle! I am sure you are fine : )
