Am I really the only one that wanted to save my virginity (since I found out about sex in ele. school) until I met that special someone and even put off relationships because I knew none of them would be serious enough for me? Why do all of these little boys and girls seem to be so eager to get knocked up, felt up, and sexed up so soon? I hope that I get some answers from teens and such that are going through, or have gone through that.

For me I didn't learn about sex until I was in middle school and now they are learning about it in fourth and fifth grade! I think a lot are curious and don't know what they want. They just want to be seen as "cool" to everyone because everything you see in society is telling you to have sex or you won't be accepted. A lot of these tweens probably don't even know better and think that having sex will just make them that more appealing and attractive. So many people I know that are 14, 15, and 16 claim that they have found "the one" and they want to have sex with them only after a month of dating them! It's ridiculous and down right annoying but I guess that's their mentality and it's their fault if they end up getting hurt. And if you try to talk to them about it, they blow you off because they think they know everything.

Because they are curious. They hear about it all the time want to see what's up with it. I don't agree with it, but they are little kids. Another thing is that a lot of young girls think it's cute, or think it's grown, to saw they had sex, have sex, and love it. Girls with no class and probably low self esteem have to put that out there all the time in order to feel accepted. That's why I feel I am lucky to have a mother who's been through all the ropes and taught me the knowledge she has from experience. But at the same time, I'm not judging some girls, simply because they didn't have that, that mother to teach them. But for the ones that do, then still don't listen, I don't understand. But yeah, kids are just interested because they want to be cool, want to see what the hype is all about, want to seem more "adult", or in some cases, when they are little bit older of a teen, they actually found love.

Question Asker You mean think they found love, the majority of puppy loves end. - 3 months ago
katiesmuff Fact is that 66% of marriages between kids 25 and under end in less than 1 yr. It is stated that ony about 2% make it past the 10 year mark. Want to guess how my babies lives are destined for disaster due to this ignorance?
PRETTY SAD ISN'T IT????? - 3 months ago

You're certainly the only guy I've ever heard of who wanted to save his virginity. It seems weird to me. So does putting off relationships because you knew none of them were serious enough for you. How would you know something like that without trying? Are you sure that you're not just afraid of women?

Question Asker Ok apparently my reponse was too filthy or something!? So I'll cut it by like half and answer and apparently keep the rating to about "G" because "T" is waaaaay to high of a rating. And here I thought mature adult responses were allowed on a site where you could ask sexual questions, silly me. No, if that were the case I wouldn't flirt and other things, and from what I seen and was told and the advice I recieved from adult who'd been through it. - 3 months ago
Answerer I think I might have accidentally removed your comment. Sorry. Wine and websites aren't always the best mix.

Flirting and other things is nowhere near the same as being in a relationship. And if you always let them know that you're joking, it seems like you're trying to keep them at arms length. That seems to me like the kind of thing someone would do if they were a little afraid. - 3 months ago
Question Asker Good to know lol, and I had more there and I would've added I've had a girlfriend before, and I won't deny I'm shy and timid, but still I have had a little and I want something, I just want it to be something serious with commitment. - 3 months ago

No, you're not the only one that wanted to save your virginity. I just gave mine to a man I love and trust and I'm 19 years old. I have taken precautions -- seen a gynecologist, gone on the pill, and still insist that a condom is used every time. I'm not sure why people feel the need to be sexual at such a young age. Attention seekers, perhaps?

Horniness.Hahahaa seriously. There could be allot of reasons, low self esteem, "don't want to be left behind". A boyfriend that pressures them, visa verse, lol. Like in that movie Juno, they were bored. They just want to, it's a self decision that no one can go back and change. Nor should anyone else judge.

Question Asker It's not judgment as much as it is having morals and ethics. I don't think that's the right attitude about sex at all, it's not the same as going to a movie for entertainment. I don't think it should be treated so lightly, and I'm wondering where youths get the idea that it's ok to do it for some lame reason rather than thinking of it as something special shared between two people that love each other. Instead of corrupting it and turning it into some vile way of passing time. - 3 months ago
Answerer Well you got a pretty clear answer there......that dude "sexy-man" xplained it pretty well. - 3 months ago

What Guys Said

Well let me say you aren't the only guy who wanted to save his virginity. I'm still a virgin, and I'm 25. I'm waiting for someone special that I love.

The issue with people wanting to have sex has two parts.

First off you most remember that the human race has changed considerably over the last 100 years. We have lengthened our lifespan by double, triple, the amount depending on what year you look at. Early one when the average human was lucky to get to age 30/40 relationships and families started at a much younger age than they are now. It was a necessity if the parents were going to have the chance to raise the kids. So in this respective humans become sexually aware in their teens. The adolescent will notice different feelings etc and want to explore those more. If the teen experiments with his or her body solo he/she might want to see what it's like with another person. It's a matter of curiosity.

Second there's the reality that everywhere you look there's talk of sex. It's blatantly talked about in the media. It isn't even that there has to be mention of the word sex for it to be there. The scantily clad woman in the magazine add or the half naked guy in the TV commercial.

Combine this with a hormonal kid and bam! The kid's going to want to do something.

Question Asker I watched a lot of my peers fall into the whole sex craze, my friends and I talked about such things frequently some of them fell into it some didn't now that I'm out of school and believe I and some of my peer females are more mature now I actually am seking something serious, but at the same time I'm still looking at everything that happened and is happening with newer adolescents and wondering what makes some of us hold back and have the maturity to look at things and make mature decisions. - 3 months ago

I am no expert but I think it mostly has to do with the media and the peer pressure. The whole idea of getting drunk and then getting ready for some high sex train is what's "awesome" and "cool". No matter how shallow that may sound.

It could also be for the fact that these younger kids are completely controlling their own life - no parental control, or concern. I can say this because I know a young girl who's had a rough child hood, as my family has known her family for a while. Her parents eventually stoped taking her seriously while they took care of their own busy lives. So, by the time she was 14, she went out and got herself knocked up. It's harsh but that's reality. And the sad part is, her parents had no concern for her even after that. I think she was doing it for the sake of grabbing attention because she never really got that in her own home. She figured if she kept herself busy in making her sex life better with who ever, she wouldn't have to deal with the family drama.

Well, that is one reason for it but others may include something along the lines of experience. Some of those kids just want to see what it feels like to have sex. It's their curiosity; which once again reinforces the media factor. The "hot sex scenes" from the glamorous Hollywood movies have the kids fantasizing their own sex scenes, so they take their chances to see how they can follow through.

Other then that, I'd say it also has to do with the lack of knowledge (no hint of consequences). As most of these younger people just want to put themselves out there without thinking about whether it's right or wrong. Lots of my friends started to get sexually involved at a very young age for the sake of a hot chick or for the fact that they wanted to hang out with the bigger guys and to prove their manly-ness, they figured, it'll be okay to f*** a girl. Well, for most of them, it didn't work out so well. Plus, it was also the hormones situation. They typical "guys want sex" statement was true for some of them and is probably one of the biggest reasons as to why little boys and girls are getting f***ed over.

Overall, experience, curiosity, hormones, attention, peer pressure and media are the main factors in pushing these kids into Fuckville but like I said earlier, I am no expert. These are just my own assumptions.

Question Asker I think I'd agree with all of that, and some parents actually encourage that and help them do it, as sick as it sounds. Honestly I think the nly way they might wake up to what's wrong with it is if they were introduced to the more shocking and bad things about it, and have that in the media more than these shows that clearly target teens and children and claim they target adults, I know of no adult that watches "Gssip Girl" or anything like that. - 3 months ago

Its because of all those rat bastards rap stars who glorify sex. If all those welfare beggers would actually have a kid to raise him or her to become respectable, fine adults then we wouldn't have a problem of kids running around trying to act like the latest rap star.

Question Asker Good answer, but I think it's more than just media and rap stars, and some of them do/had kids, they tend to fail as parents of the ones that do, I'm sick and tired of hearing/seeing all the teen whores, sorry to be blunt, but they are giving away their bodies like a prostitute making money for it would, and they aren't getting paid even. I think it's absolutely horrid that babies are having babies themselves. - 3 months ago
