dave216 is right. When I talk with my girl who is just a friend most of the time the conversation turns to sex. Tell him that you have heard or know someone who has FWB. See what his reaction is. Then ask him. It's safe sex as far as STDs go if you both get tested first. The only two problems is that if one of you has sex outside the FWB you have to be careful that one doesn't bring something back & we have to be careful not to fall for that person.
I would do it but not with the friend that I mentioned because I am already soooo in love with her. She is my friend & I wouldn't do anything to ruin our friendship.

Friends with benefits-
To ask could be to simply use your womanly talents on him and see what happens. You can't really ask it, it just has to be a random hookup that keeps on happening.

And even if you had to resort to asking you would get a very positive response. But you might not want to put yourself out there that much it can be very sexy if a girl hints at that sort of thing in conversation and her body language.

And last. be careful, friends with benefits is pretty amazing but its easy to get attached and turn a good thing into a mess of problems

Talk with him, alone. Turn the conversation to sexual matters and then just ask him if he would like to have a friend with benefits. If says yes, and he will, ask how about me? We really do appreciate being talked to. We mostly don't understand the hints you girls think are so obvious.
