What do you guys and girls think about the idea of a male contraceptive?
Do you think it would be a good idea to have more methods for men to prevent pregnancy or should this mainly be the girls problem?
Do you think it can actually be done, is it possible?

i think we should have more options.as if something happens its both parties that have to manage it.or at least should.so we both should have the same kind of options.so if there was a male pill.i know I would be taking it.

I wish there was more contraceptives for men to use. We basically have condoms and vasectomies.

But women should still do their part. A woman getting pregnant is just as much her fault as the dudes. Last time I checked it takes a male and a female to procreate.

I think it's far more dangerous. With women the body is tricked into thinking it's pregnant, but with men, it would be sterilizing the sperm. This could be extremely dangerous.

Also, because women are the ones who get pregnant, the responsibility to not be pregnant really does lie with the woman. Think of it this way, if I make out with a girl, I'm risking getting a cold sore, and if I do, it's my fault for making out with a girl I wasn't sure was clean. Think of pregnancy as a cold sore only women can get. Women have the choice to abstain from sex, but if they want it, it's their bodies, so they should choose who to have sex with for maximum safety, just as I don't kiss random girls because I don't want cold sores.

In fact, I've never kissed a random girl in my life.

deratbs It is actually not dangerous at all to stop the male from producing sperm and the risks would be less than they are with pumping extra hormones into women's body. Women's reproductive systems are much more complex. Get your facts right! - 3 months ago
Answerer Did you read what I said? I said, " I think it's far more dangerous" I never said it was. I THINK. As in, I don't know, but I THINK it's like this.

Also, "This COULD be extremely dangerous". Key word. COULD.

Instead of getting my facts right you should learn to read, no offense, but it really does anger me when people make claims like yours, it makes me look like some insensitive idiot when I never claimed to know anything. - 3 months ago

Having another option for the males would be great. Both ways would appreciate. It takes
two to tango. So if either party is not ready to take responsibility, either keep it tucked away
or aid in prevention. Both parties should wear condoms, male&female condoms, and the
lady can take the pill, health permitting, which usually one can, but there are also other
options for her. It would be great for a guy to be able to have more responsibility in this role
of prevention. But don't forget, using condoms is for both and not just to prevent an unwanted pregnacy, but also stds, etc.

I think there should be and they are working on a male contraceptive pill which is a great idea and apparently less risky than the female pill.IMO both parties are responsible for contraception although it makes more sense to take the bullits out of the gun than to wear a bullit proof vest!

I think men should have more contraceptives, we can't be expected to remember everything. Most of us have our forgetful moments or are a just bit ditzy at times. I know this isn't an excuse, but it should be a motivation for guys to figure out something if they don't want to be a daddy.

i think that would be an excellent idea.
i find it super annoying, having to take the pill every day.
and it definitely should not be "mainly" the girls problem. it takes two to tango. if I ever got pregnant accidentally, even if it was by a hookup. I'd definitely confront him, so we could make a reasonable choice on what was best for the both of us. which makes sense, that guys should have just as much methods as girls should, to prevent pregnancy, since the baby would equally belong to both the male and female.
