The girl really likes you so you extend that to liking your friend as well, That's logical.
You are worried about her and someone else, someone you don't know, so you reassure yourself by seeing the other guy as someone you consider 'safe', your best friend who is not the type to betray you.

This is more art than science.but I think it means you have insecurity about her, probably not related to your bf, he just happens to be an easy face to put on the guy. It's about her. You are wondering if you have a future or not or if she will wind up with someone else, and your unconscious put your friend's fact on the someone else just so he has an indentity. You're not worried therefore about her carrying on with anyone NOW but you wonder if she is getting ready to break it off.

It's just a dream, don't make it a roller coaster, you could be having the time of your life with your girl/bf in real life. Then it goes straight down, because of a simple dream. I don't think you should look too much into it. You should worry about it when you see it in real life. Hope this helped.
Well, I've had those before, and I asked my therapists what that meant. One who took a dream course in college meant that you felt insecure about something in the relationship. It may be that you feel protective when your bestfriend is with you and girlfriend and you somewhat need to get in between the two and try and feel safe for yourself to reassure that she's only yours. If you trust your bestfriend and know that he won't do that, then face your fears and insecurities and just have fun!
