I'm 23 years old and still a virgin. I haven't found the "one" yet and really want to save it for them cause I believe it's truly something special that I can offer to that special someone...

I'm just wondering is there such thing as people still being a virgin over the age of 20? I know of many people that have lost their's as young as the age of 14!!

I mean of course I really wanna have SEX and getting a little desperate actually, but does virginity really matter now adays to people?!

I have many many friends who are over 20 even in there 30's who are virgins, but we are Christians and choose to save ourselves for our husbands and wives. It's not really about what other people do though its about what you want to do and what you believe is right for you.

First off, congratulations on having staying power! There should be more guys like you. I think Davidsaj has a point, I go to church and I am still a virgin, waiting for marriage. So, yes, it is possible, just hard to find in this day and age. Also, even if I wasn't religious, I would want to wait for marriage b/c that is when it is less about sex and more about the connection and love. You won't care how awkward it is the first time b/c you are with the person you KNOW loves you; it's too intimate to be with anyone else. Just think of why you want to wait everytime you get the urge. Believe me, I get urges, but it is possible to resist!

I'm 19 and a virgin, and I plan on keeping mine for the "one" as well. I'm sure that there are women who prefer more experienced guys, but personally, I would be touched to be a guy's first, especially at your age. There are definitely girls out there with similar values to yourself who are looking for a guy just like you who values sex as something deeper and more important than just something fun to do with any girl who wants it. And it's difficult for girls who want that to find virgins over about 18-20, so you will be a rare and wonderful find for that perfect girl! Props to you for waiting! :)

I waited until I was 21 to lose my virginity to my boyfriend of 5 years. He was a virgin as well, and although it was difficult to not just go at it when we were 18, we are both SO happy we waited until we knew it was what we wanted completely. Stick it out and wait for that special person--all the girls I know, (myself included,) like men who are able to control their urges and aren't just in relationships for sex. You rock. :)

Question Asker Thanks for your insight!! Just stuck in a dilemma... I mean I could go at it, but then again I really want to wait for "the one" and it's getting harder and harder to hold back sometimes... haha... - 7 months ago

It matters to some, but not others. Whether it matters to YOU or not is the only thing that matters.
Many people anonymously admit it, so, there are actually quite a few. Don't worry, you're going to get it sooner or later. Just don't give up.

Lol yes there are bro... your a smart man like myself. I'm 17 and I'm saving for marriage most likely just because that's the right way to do it. Truthfully you have to be stupid to lose it before marriage. A girl in my class lost it in 7th grade when she was 11... that's so messed up

Sure thing bro. Just because people ain't out there talkin' about it at older age levels doesn't mean there ain't folks like that. Plus for those of us who were in our early 20's, it's too late to brag to your friends. Do what's right for you, dig.

I was a virgin till 23 myself, partly because I wanted to save myself, and partly because I am shy and not as outgoing as other guys (well I'm much more outgoing now, a year later).

Shino-08 I'm practically the female version of you. LOL well, when it comes to being 23 and still a virgin because I'm shy and not outgoing. But I've changed a lot since getting a boyfriend. - 4 months ago

It does exist, but as you note, it's getting harder to find. I waited until after 20, and my girlfriend was around 20 as well. We were both virgins who had been dating each other for quite a while.

I think what many people don't understand or appreciate is that it's possible for a virgin to have a high sex drive. It's more difficult to remain chaste, but perfectly possible.

As long as you've done your homework for when the right time presents itself (in other words, know enough that you won't fumble around and propagate the "virgins are horrible in bed" stereotype), the woman will probably be flattered by the fact that you waited for her.

Well, it really depends on who you date, I lost my virginity when I was 23, and my girlfriend was actually very impressed that I waited for her and although it took me a little while to become an expert in sex, I know that it meant a lot to her. If you find the right women and get to know her first then I am sure she will be impressed, but I'm sure there are plenty of people who will say that is not true. The important thing is that you stood up for what you believe in and you don't have any STD's either. Just keep looking and make sure you are looking in the right spots, for the right someone, trust me it is worth it!

Question Asker Thanks for the insight... how old is your gf by the way if you don't mind me asking... I'm still trying to look for a girl like that, but it just seems all the girls I meet just want to have sex... and plus I'm not really into them... - 7 months ago
Answerer Well, my girlfriend was 20, but she wasn't a virgin, she had had a couple of losers for boyfriends before me, I know that there are girls out there that are virgins at 23, but you have to look in church or just really hard, good luck! - 7 months ago
Shino-08 Of course there are girls out there that are virgins at 23, I'm one of them. Lol my boyfriend just happens to be a virgin to so when we do become intimate, it's gonna be new to both of us. I'm looking forward to it tho. - 4 months ago

Advice: When should I start having sex?
Does it ever annoy you that you're single?
random-ren asked 20 days ago

Yes, most of the time! I really wish I had a boyfriend/girlfriend!

A little, because I feel left out.

Not really...

Nope! I have too much fun being single!

What's there to be annoyed about?
