What do you think of one night stands?

I don't really do them but I'm not against the idea of one. Just as long as you aren't in a relationship when you have one, it's fine!

They are fine. Two people meet at a moment in time, they are there to fulfill each others needs. I guess I should have said they are fine if both parties are looking for a one night stand.

Hey, don't sweat guys and their labels of women. Everyone has a right to their own opinion, but you have to remember it is just their opinion. Don't ever take someone else's opinion personally. It is about what you know in your heart is true from what you have experienced from reality. Listen to other perspectives and think if you agree or disagree that it is the truth, but never take opposing view points personal.

Now, for your question. I am a christian with genuine faith, and I believe sex before marriage is wrong. But, I have had sex before marriage and I have had one night stands before (not something I am proud of). So I don't judge others or throw stones in what would be a glass house for me. I am not perfect and I still struggle with things like sex, getting angry, and other things all the time. But I am conscious of it, acknowledge my flaws, and am trying (sometimes very slowly) to work through them.

I would say if you are going to do it I would recommend having sex with someone you love or know well. Women have more to lose with one night stands then men. You don't know the guy well, he could be crazy, try to harm you, unwanted pregnancy (condoms do fall off, or get forgotten when drunk), disease, etc. Most men don't fear getting kidnapped or raped when they go for one night stands or other times.

You are not a sociopath, wanting and liking sex is very normal. Some guys will judge girls for having one night stands but then do it themselves, or have girl friends who have had them (most older women have had one or a purely sexual relationship at one time in their lives) who they either haven't asked about or the girl won't tell him because he'll judge her for it (sometimes without looking at himself first). I find it silly and amusing. We are all human, girls have one night stands and use the bathroom just like men. Some women don't want the emotional weight of a relationship but still have physical needs, or are attracted to someone but don't necessarily want to be with that guy. Women feel the same things as men, our bodies are biologically different but we all have the same human feelings and desires.

Again, I am not saying it is the right thing to do. I would recommend what I stated above. But I try to be totally honest and real about myself and sharing my opinion on the subject for others.

Strictly from a health aspect, I don't think one night stands are OK. condoms are only 85% effective when used properly. if you take into consideration that a lot of people aren't using condoms properly, that statistic gets even scarier. what about diseases? I worry about HIV/AIDS a lot so that's why I don't do one nighters. a guy could be sick and not know or tell you. I just don't wanna take that chance.
