Was proactive productive for you?
Proactive did not work for me :P
The beach? A friend of mine has the worst case of acne, I mean I love him, but it just looks messed up... And he's such a sweet boy, he does everyting for all of us so we felt really bad that we couldn't help him...
I sometimes have break-out's, but I noticed that when we went on vacation and went to the beach it would disappear... I don't know I think the combination of see, sand & sun + no stress would do the trick...
I told my friend and he went to the beach like a lot last summer... and it almost disapeared! and the whole winter it was much less than the years before^^
Maybe that'll work for you to^^
Nothing from the stores works well I could tell you that I've tried everything and I mean everything the only thing that ended up working great was the meds that the dermatologist gave me and it took six months to work and now I have no acne at all. If you go to the dermatologist then ask for Duac Topical Gel and Differin gel .3 one you put on in the night and the other in the morning I have been using them for like a year now. And I actually did try proactive years ago and it just didt work for me.
Drinking a lot of water does wonders for not only your face, but your entire skin.

Proactive did nothing for me at all. I think it just irritated my skin.
Right now I take aldactone to help with acne, and it's the only thing that's helped. My birth control (yaz) also helps. I wash my face with purpose cleanser, use an olay moisturizer, and elta md sunscreen (spf 41).
My acne flares around my period, but it's still pretty bad most of the time. You may have a hormone imbalance causing your acne (I do), and birth control or the aldactone that I take, helps a lot with that. I've tried about every topical cream under the sun, and none of them have worked at all.
I used every acne treatment under the sun at one point, and none of that worked. I decided to give proactive a shot and it worked for a little while. When it stopped working for me my dad told me to go to the doctor and get a prescription. I use tetracycline now, and most of the time it works, recently I had to go back to taking it twice a day. Some parts of my face weren't clearing up. Oh also I use a sunlamp, it helps too.
Skin problems first of all occur based on the way we eat, so if you come to the point when nothing helps rethink about visiting the specialist, food one =D
My cousin used proactive and it worked for a week then stopped working.
i know my answer will be pretty damn simple but I think just washing ur face with soap and water everynight and morning helps acne products don't replace just plainly washing ur face its like an add on
hope this helps******
That only helps those who's face doesn't naturally produce a lot of oil and doesn't wear make up.
