things that promise miracles (fat burners, acai, etc etc etc are a waste of time and most importantly MONEY) just eat well balanced meals, 6x/day, exercise 30-60 min/day, LOTS of water 2-3litres, and bran. rest on sat and sunday, cheat on the 'diet' a little bit, and aimk for 2-3lbs lsot per week. anymore and you wilkl be losing muscle not fat and will re gain everything you lost, trust me
People with your mindset are the ones that always stop training and are very skeptical about what works and what not.
why?
because they expect unrealistic results!
They go to the gym for 2 weeks, look in the mirror and weigh themselves everyday, find out they haven't lost any (or enough) weight and be like 'oh this doesn't work never mind this" and then stop.
In general, with any kind of looks based fitness program, it will take around 3 months at least to notice any significant (compliment worthy) difference, about a year and a half to be in shape and about 2-4 years to have a perfect model body and for men, a few more years if they want to look like bodybuilders.
It takes a sh*tload of time. That's why I never like those "Oh let me start working out so I'll look hot this summer" types like you. Working out and dieting should be based on long term goals, not quick fixes, which, unlike what you are led to believe by TV etc do NOT exist (at least not in a healthy way).
Above all: Don't be tricked into buying slimming pills: they're dangerous for your health and they don't work more than a very short time (they are diuretics, that drain water -water, NOT fat- from the body, which is unhealthy, thus the body replaces it asap.)
People always say "eat healthy" but I know it's not that easy. When I wanted to lose weight I read this magazine that changed my life. Unfortunately I can't remember what magazine it was but I know what it said. This is sort of what it said in the article:
You know that huge bowl of cereal you have in the morning? Or that three scoop ice cream cone you get everyday? You may think it's okay, but you will be just as full with a smaller bowl or a two scoop cone. See, your body is full, but you can't realize it when you're eating. Start with smaller portions and to help, buy smaller bowls so you CAN'T put that much cereal in it. And when you eat dinner, wait 20 minutes before eating dessert. It takes about 20 minutes for your body to register as "full", so you may not even feel up to eating dessert! And eat meals slower so the body can digest and break down food while you eat. Gaining weight can be caused by lack of the body breaking down food.
I hope this helps =D Good luck. PS- take the stairs instead of the elevator and use your bike instead of the car.
To lose weight fast you should cut out most sugar, salt and fats from your diet these three things contibute enormously to weight gain. I cut out sugar, salt and fats such as butter and cheese, I lost 10 pounds in three weeks and I didn't even exercise at all. It all comes down to what you eat.
First off, DO NOT GO BY THE SCALE ! this is why some women feel overwhelmed and give up. You want to be healthy, not extremley skinny. If for you being healthy means 140 pounds, so be it.
Second, eat healthy. Cut out carbs/high calorie & sugar foods. Also, look at the sodium (salt) content, because the more salt means the more water you will drink, and salt retains water resulting in making you bloated. Eat lots of vegtables, fruits, things with fibre, try to eat more chicken & fish than red meat.
DO NOT skip breakfast, because skipping breakfast will make you 10x more hungrier throughout the day. Also, try to eat every 3-4 hours, at least a snack so you're not as hungry later, and even if you don't feel hungry, EAT because this prevents you from starving and over eating.
You can do sit-ups, and muscle workouts and all of that, but that only builds muscle UNDER the fat. you have to make sure you get at least 30-40 miniutes of cardio into your workout everyday. This is the fastest way to lose weight. Also, try not to eat after 7. It'll be hard for the first week, but if you stick with it you will see results. :)
I've found that the Atkins diet works best for me. It's basically a very low carb diet. I did it for two weeks once, lost 10 pounds. That's the longest I did it for though. Oh, by the way, exercise on the Atkins helps to tone your body (if the person is quite large and needs to lose a lot, it brings your skin back into shape faster) but isn't necessary. Hope this helps :) - B
All the atkins does it deprive a person of carbohydrates and puts too much pressure on the kidneys. yes too much protein can harm the kidneys as soon as you have carbohydrates again, your body will start to retain more water than while on the diet - 3 months ago
There is really no quick way to loose weight all diets take time if you want to keep the weight off, I have tried everything and the only thing that really works is diet and exercise and it takes a long time its not something that happens overnight.
Not too long ago I had a party at my house. The house was packed with people, sangria and music. About an hour into the party a really stunning Canadian/Chinese girl came in with some friends. Me,...
