I'm a teenage girl. I love fashion and dressing really nice, but I hate using purses. They just get in the way for me. I feel so awkward carrying them too. I dress normally, usually jeans and a t shirt, or a skirt or shorts or what not. I put all my important things I need, (make-up, money, cellphone, etc) in my pockets, etc. So is it too masculine for a girl to just use a wallet and hate purses?

Omg I know exactly what you mean. I hate purses too! I feel like I am carrying way too much stuff and like you said. They get in the way. But trust me its not masculine at all. If you love fashion, I am sure you dress amazingly well and guys look at the way a girl dresses more then what kind of purse they carry. So don't worry about it. If you hate purses. HATE THEM ALL YoU WANT! Lol

Carrying a purse stinks! I just carry stuff in my pockets now and I'm really girly. I used to carry a purse all the time, but I've lost it and then you lose all your stuff. It's a lot more convenient!

LOL! I'm the same way. I never use a purse. They seem too bulky, and knowing me, I'd probably loose it somewhere.
Once in a while, it depends on where or what I'll be doing, I'll bring my messenger back, but that it's. No fancy purse.
I really don't think it's masculine though.

When I was your age, in high school and then in college, I carried my personal stuff in a cute pink backpack, rather than a purse. That worked great until I graduated and got a job in the city, and started wearing skirt suits and dresses to the office. It was then that I decided to shelve the pink backpack and start using shoulder bags and purses instead. That seemed the best fit with my new wardrobe (and a lot more practical, and stylish, than trying to jam stuff into little pockets in a skirt or jacket). At first, it felt awkward to carry a purse. Now I always carry a purse, and it feels totally natural and practical, even though I haven't worked in an office for many years. Just a question of getting used to it. And it really does look a lot more stylish, and feminine, than walking around with bulging pockets like a guy. That just my two cents. Good luck!

I never used a purse when I was your age and I don't think most guys even noticed. The few that did actually complimented it, saying I was low maintenance. I guess they might have thought it was a little boyish, but really, they're not looking at your purse anyway.

Has society given us enough info. about Birth Control and Safe Sex?
melissarose8585 asked 5 days ago

Society doesn't give enough information.

People don't listen to information given, or don't care.

There is another reason.

I don't know.
