Hey girls! I am getting ready to buy all new make up because mine is all getting a little old and it's almost time for fall colors, and I have always used Covergirl everything. I like it, it works fine, but I would like to try some new stuff too. I can't really afford to buy all new stuff in something expensive like Clinique, but if you have some certain piece of make up that you can't live with out let me know!
MAC studio fix foundation with mineralize skin finish natural powder - total must have. put the powder on with their buffer brush for air brushed look. But MAC eyeshadows are great if you buy 4 you can make them work so many different ways and look like new eyeshadows :)
I work at a cosmetic counter at Macys and I have to say, don't go for MAC when your gonna buy eye make up. You should try Urban Decay. They have better eye shadow and are all vegan. They are about the same prices as MAC and their color is SOOOOOO much better. Clinique is one of the cheaper department store cosmetic counter. Compared to other lines, they are one of the cheapest. THey have the best skin care, like the 3 step and superdefense. I also hear a lot about clinique's foundation. Lacome has the best mascara and I like their lip gloss, but they tend to be more expensive. I just bought some items from Bobbi Brown, and I have to say, her line is pretty nice and not too expensive. Especially the blush.
MAC is the best ever I love their colors and just because its getting to be fall doesn't mean your eye makeup can't still make a statement plums are good colors for fall and they look good on almost all skin types
i wouldn't suggest going to crazy with expensive brands, you usually can't tell the difference between mac/sephora price range and less expensive stuff.
but seriously, when I go out I brush on some loreal mineral sheers and I ALWAYS get comments on how good it looks. people can't really tell that its that you're wearing make up, they'll say "there's just something about you." it's very subtle and enhancing.
I think M.A.C is the best brand to wear, and even though I don't put make-up on, I do like working with it on other people, and m.a.c is so far the best brand I have ever relaid on. Its not super cheap, but its not super expensive either. They do have great sales, and compare to the make-up prices in drugstores, I think M.A.C is fair enough (at least here in Canada, its not expensive).
I can't live with out blush. That's the only thing I put on if ever is the blush! Blush is my ultimate life saver. I love it too much. Its just great, At this point, I am with M.A.C Mocha blush. I got it for 15 bucks, plus its high quality.
Shopping for all new make-up sounds like fun so have fun and good luck lol
Clinique makes a really great tinted moisturizer for an awesome dewy complexion.
And they also have my very favorite lipstick! It's a sheer lipstick called "Black Honey"- it looks really dark in the tube but try it on. It looks completely different. Super sexy!
I love any bourjois mascara! You only need one slick layer for it to look fabulous. Any maxfactor eyeshadow's, maybelline foundation/blemish-stick, revlon lipsticks! I use bourjois eyeliner's too, fab.
Sephora, I get at JcPenny, and it's pretty cheap, powder and foundation is like less than 20 bucks. and it works great, their make up can be really natural. Plus they got tons of other cool stuff. Like great mascara that look and feel like you don't have any on, the eyelashes feel so soft. They always let you try it out before you buy it so I would go with something like that just incase you don't like it.
