Does Hair Matter?

I have this crazy hot friend who is dating a guy who started balding prematurely. He shaves it all off (actually she helps him, lol) but I think he's just really confident and comfortable with himself and really funny, which matters more than what his hair looks like. Actually, we nicknamed is head the moon and now all the girls who know him fight over which of us gets to touch his head and be "the first woman to the moon" on that given day. Kind of silly maybe, but he's made it part of his personal style and an asset rather than something to be embarrassed by.
Hair might matter initially on a superficial level, but so far as more serious relationships go personality is going to matter a lot more than hair style. I think its also going to matter a lot less as you age. On a superficial level, I think if you are balding prematurely, keeping the rest of your hair short or shaved makes it look more like a style choice and keeps you looking younger.

No. Girls don't care. Unless the guy does. If she loves and cares about you then she won't mind at all. just as long as you have enough self confidence and won't care about your hair I'm sure it shouldn't be a problem at all.

If you only have a small amount of hair. Rock it while you got it. Or go join the Rogaine Club

YESSS!!!!!!!!!! THATS THE first think a girl would notice is the guys hair. its not like you got boobs on you or something. but sorry...we do really notice the hair!

Yeah duh! Well, if you don't have hair you'll have to be really hot. Plus you'll have to wax and fake tan your head, unless you're black and have that (great and sexy, btw) coloring already. It's better to be smooth than bald, though. If you have hair, get it cut at a salon, with a girl whose opinion you trust.

I have seen a lot of HOT girls dating guys with male-pattern baldness (which miffs me because I have a full head of hair).

The common thing I noticed was all these guys had their hair cut very very short.

I read a survey someplace that something like under 20% of the female population likes a guy with long hair. Most prefer guys with short hair.

Though seriously I think guys' hair is much less a concern to women than, say, social status.
