I use Paul MItchell Straight Works when I want to wear my hair straight. But the problem is the fron pieces closest yo my face always start to wave. Not curl, wave. And it looks bad. How can I prevent this?

I used to work in a salon, and the only products of Paul Mitchell we ever endorsed were the Body products, like the styling foam, root lifter, and thicken up. I'm not a fan of the brand at all.

Switch to a Redken product or to a Sexy Hair Concepts product. And make sure that when you blow dry your hair, you use a straightening vented round brush while drying, as it will train the hair to dry that way. I have very wavy, almost curly, natural hair, and I can get mine stick straight by using Redken Straightening Balm. It's also lighter than Straight Works and doesn't feel as greasy to me.

If that doesn't work, you need a Soma product. They're a little more expensive, but so worth it. And probably a Chi or straightening iron.
