What's the difference between hot/fine and cute?

Hot has to do with your body and the way you dress. Cute has to do with your face/hair and your personality. They aren't mutually exclusive and if you can manage to pull off both at the same time then you'll have guys crawling all over you.

As Jen said, hot is 100% physical, though cute can be too it tends to go a little farther usually.

If your going for the physical Hot! then you have to do more then just look good, you have to KNOW your hot and put it out there as body language and appeal, your have to act and BE hot if that's what you want.

Yea I agree with Jen as well, where fine is everything, a girl is fine when she is hot at the right times and cute at the same time and still cute at the right times:P if ya catch my drift at all:S

I agree with jen!! You really should be proud to be cute!! Cute is girlfriend material and hot is sex material! If a guy calls a girl hot he's just thinking that he wants to get with her!! IF he calls you cute it means he's thinking of you as a possibility for a girlfriend!!

Both a cute girl and a hot girl might be equally physically attractive in my opinion. So I think the difference is about attitude. To me, cute sounds like you are nice, friendly, girly or sweet, while hot sounds more confident and conscious of one's sexuality. You might be expressing these things in the way you dress, the way you move, the way you interact with others. You could change this by being more confident, changing your style, being a bit of a flirt, etc. The thing is, if it's not you it will probably seem pretty fake, or like you are trying to hard (which isn't hot). Instead, realize that when people call you cute they are complimenting you. Also, even if there are "hot" aspects to your personality (there's a good chance there is a mix of both hot and cute things about you) most people would not come out and tell a girl to her face that she's hot, because it is very overtly sexual (its like telling a girl she's sexy - its harder to say then cute). I also think there is a good chance that as you get older you will be seen more as "hot", because you'll be more experienced and confident. It will happen naturally. Don't rush it. Fake/artificial isn't cute or hot, just needy and pathetic.

To be hot, dress sexier not slutty but just add more to your regular style. Change your hair, wear colored contacts and see how you look. Work out and get your body in shape, show off your legs but of course be classy with it.

pretty: Just good looking; gorgeous; Average beauty

Beautiful: Very pleasing to the eyes; very pretty; Pure beauty

So, if your always called 'cute'. It's not a bad thing. You're just attractive is all that means

"Cute" is a less attractive version of "hot" in a certain way. Angelina Jolie is HOT but Meg Ryan is CUTE. Obviously, nothing wrong with either of their looks!

When I was younger, people would call me "cute" and it irritated me as well. However, now I appreciate the compliment because "cute" seems to incorporate some personality whereas "hot" is just straight sex appeal. I'd like to throw off personality and intelligence over sex appeal any day! So, instead of changing from cute to hot, be proud of being cute!
